Adidas launch new swimming costume. It is from their Pride collection though to be fair.

The Trans debate represented as a swimwear contest - marvellous - this is what was needed all along! LSN is the new Eric Morley.

A man in a swimsuit doesn’t really represent anything in the “debate” whatsoever, except as an illustration of how The Most Marginalised People In The World (tm) have corporations tripping over themselves to get involved.

A couple of stray observations though.

1: major sportswear companies seem to be far far quicker at “Look at how we get fully on board with inclusivity!” when it comes to courting social media noise and showing how cool they are with a man’s penis bulge (in the process, baiting dissenters into being mean about the poor, vulnerable model) than when it comes to, say, designing and promoting sportswear for women that recognises women’s needs (eg: football boots designed for female feet
https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... -for-women)

2:the superficial gender non-conformity of “look, a male wearing a women’s swimsuit” is undermined somewhat by the gender conformity of “male person directs attention to his penis”

Is it a guy though? Could be a transman with a sock or a banana or something stuffed down the front.

Weird, max’yyy asks if it’s a guy, then offers an alternative interpretation that the image could be of a “trans man”. It seems that the confused old fool doesn’t think trans men are men. Such a shame to see him sliding towards the far right.

How are they drawing attention to their penis?

Your attention may have been drawn there; mine wasn't.

I genuinely find these posts a bit distasteful. I’m very happy to admit that I’m out on a limb amongst lefties on this. (my “immutable drift to the right”) but I think the school playground level humour on this by you TP and MBGold is pretty shoddy & intellectually cowardly. It’s “cake & eat it” with oh-so-hilarious knob jokes but a steadfast refusal to actually ever seriously weigh up the issues “it’s too complex!!!” Luckily, men aren’t negatively impacted at all by the trans rights movement so we can just have a laugh about knobs, eh lads?

The most interesting recent development is that it seems that now that public awareness of the issues is up, despite trans activism saying “trans women are women”, “acceptance without exception”, and despite the principle of self ID seeking to enshrine in law that a woman is anyone who says she is one, trans criminals are now retrospectively described as “men dressing as women” (note that the story makes it clear that this man does identify as a woman), apparently once a “trans woman” is a criminal, his sex can reasonably be observed and considered relevant.
So the question is, on what grounds can someone or an organisation preemptively distinguish between a man dressed as a woman and a “trans woman”? And why is why such distinction better than recognising that male people, however they identify, are the group posing the risk here? If some trans women can retrospectively be seen as male (because they are) then why can’t safeguarding recognise that as male people, trans women pose the level of threat to women that all male people do (actually significantly higher than male people as a whole, funnily enough)

I mean, that’s kind of the point. The idea that it’s wrong to recognise that “trans women”, as males, post a safeguarding risk is literally “not all men”, because the whole movement is about creating a subset of male people who are assumed - with no evidence - to not pose the same level of risk as the rest of men.

Is that true?

According to the article, in this instance, he's the one driving this:

'At the time of his arrest, he was presenting as Amy George but confirmed he wished to be addressed as Andrew Miller using "he" pronouns for simplicity.'

What a f*cking horrific case though. I dread to think how it could have ended up if the young girl hadn't been so brave.
