Striker rankings

Post by orienfan64920 »

Rank Wilkinson, Angol, Bonne and Koroma in order of current ability as a striker.

For me its:
1. Koroma
2. Angol
3. Wilkinson
4. Bonne

Early to judge the new boys I know but interested to see what people think. Would imagine the consensus would be we have downgraded.

Can't tell on the basis of us playing a bunch of part-timers in pre-season. Let's see how they fare against proper opposition before passing judgement.

I’ll tell you when I’ve seen angol and Wilkinson play more than 5 mins (or half a season).

Still don't class Koroma as a striker, but if you compare Angol to Bonne and Wilkinson to Koroma, Angol and Wilkinson have more goals in them individually.

Much depends on how they click as a partnership. On paper we have sold two players who excelled in non league for differing reasons and replaced with two players who could be better at this level. We have certainly done a good job replacing two key players.

Even then it will be difficult as Koroma and Bonne faced NL defenders whilst Angol and Wilkerson will be up against a slightly higher quality

Comparing will be difficult

It's inevitable but I don't think its a particularly helpful idea to compare. It would be better if they are judged on their own merits.

Yeah...agree about Koroma not being a striker but clearly offered loads to the team anyway. So judging him as a striker is unfair.

Bonne
Koroma

My ranking of strikers at the club

1 Angol
2 Wilkinson
3 Harrold
4 Soritiou
5 The tea Lady
6 The Cleaner
7 The Burger Seller
8 The bloke that cleans the Toilets
9 Alabi

Alabi is a bit higher than he should be, but I'll leave it for now

I agree . This question can only really be answered at the end of the season when we've seen how they've done.

Obviously the fact that some play for us now might cloud the judgement a bit, as well as a change in League. I reckon Angol will be the main striker and Wilkinson slightly behind him.

So maybe a better question would be to base it on last year.

Would you swap Bonne for Angol? Close, I probably would.
Bonne for Wilkinson? No.
Koroma for Angol? No.
Koroma for Wilkinson? Definitely no.

Does anyone clean them in the East Stand? Would need to be pretty brave to do that.
