Re: 6 Year Plan comes to Fruition....Now What?
League 1 is our 'level' in terms of fan base anyway. I doubt they're happy settling for that and obviously have plans to grow the club further so we sustain something higher up, but if they were to Hearn it from here and 'only' aim for moderate losses each season with a lower mid table budget on the hope that we put together the occasional promotion push, I wouldn't be complaining.
Having bosses the league so comfortably this season, we will need to adjust to not expecting to win every game. It's inevitable when you look at the size of some of the clubs playing in league 1. We can't magic up an extra 6k onto our gates and have a top 7 budget.

Im a little disappointed to be honest. I want this club back in the second tier, which is where it was, when i first supported the club, but im not sure T&T do.

I can remember seeing an away game at Craven Cottage in the 80’s and there were only about two thousand Fulham fans . Fast forward to today and Craven Cottage is packed . My point is we might not have the fanbase now but that could change with success. I’m also wondering how many new supporters we might get from the new development across the road from our ground.

Both clubs are struggliong
Both clubs will be in 6th tier after relegation
So, yes, both clubs are struggling in 6th tier
Your mistake is in assuming I was referring to struggling on the pitch results wise.
What is it they say? Don't Assume, it makes an
Ass of

Me
If you want me to be pedantic:
Neither club will thrive in Conference North or South as that has not existed since the end of the 2014-15 season when it became the National League North or South.

New ground, yes maybe in the future but IMO before talk of getting into the Championship, Os first need to stabilise themselves in the first division, it will all take time. We dont want to do a Forrest Green and come straight down again !Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 9:13 am There’s no reason why we can’t get into the championship,Wycombe and Burton played in there I do believe, plus Bournemouth are playing in the premiership with a ground that only holds 10,000. However there lies the problem. Finding, building and funding a new stadium. Brentford did so why can’t we?,but that probably is for a different discussion

YOU COULD WELL BE RIGHT !OTF Photography Ltd wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 9:15 am I’d be very interested in their new plan and I’m sure they will be formulating one over the next few weeks.
The difficulty will be that they can’t exactly say they are happy to stay in league one forever, but the reality is that the investment needed to get to the championship is vastly more than going from league two to league one and they are already making huge losses every year. Because of this I suspect the ambition will be championship but to do that, they will want to stabilise in league one and then sell to investors who want to put more money in. If we can spent 2 seasons in league one I see T&T walking

I can see that ComeOnYouOs, PoundhillO, Cockhat, Biggsymalone, gshaw, Beradogs, Chief crazy horse, The Reverend & Monkey Boy have held their end of season summary meeting and after much discussion and debate, have decided on their strategy moving forward of what to complain about during the summer.
Out of a short list of:
-Hoping to generate speculation around a narrative on Wellens leaving
-Not winning the title the way they demanded
-All New Signings must be completed in June before aggressively complaining about a lack of them
-Hoping most of the out of contract players leave, so they can start the narrative of a crisis looming
-Lifting the trophy and getting promoted despite losing both games
-Not signing specific transfer targets ComeOnYouOs demands
-Hoping El Mizouni doesn't come back so they can say the club should go into debt to try and sign him
-Aaron Drinan
-Ling
They've decided to pick on the owners to stick the knife into, because winning promotion and winning the league isn't good enough because they don't invest enough money to do it the way their blueprint says.
The meeting concluded with ComeOnYouOs fiercly and aggressively yelling at the other attendees, telling them "they have no right to tell him how to spend his own money" after being criticised for not investing into supplying refreshments for the occasion.

Re: 6 Year Plan comes to Fruition....Now What?
I spoke with some league 1 fans from promoted clubs last year.
They say that there are two leagues within one division.
Top 8 are way ahead in size and financial clout.
The others make up the rest.
Then you have to consider what RW sees as a good season.
It will be interesting to see how the marketing pans out.
I think if we retain most of the squad, our attacking players will have more freedom in this league, due to other teams concentrating on beating us, rather than trying not to lose.
