Reinvest the winnings on Orient to be League 1 champions next year. You’d get decent odds on that I reckon!

I really wish that this was publicised more. Bookies close/restrict winning accounts. If people knew that they weren’t allowed to win it would put a serious dent in the industry. Obviously only a very small percentage win, to know that. All my Orient bets (promotion/title) were ‘in shops’ nationwide disguised in doubles/trebles. Right palaver but obviously worth it. Collecting was also made as awkward as could be.

I used to have an online account with William Hill. Used it for little accumulators and the odd £10 match bet. Won a bit, lost a bit more. They constantly bombarded me with offers and marketing. In particular they were hammering me to try this roulette style fruit machine game. By the way, this was during covid lockdowns where they went really hard with the promotional material.

I eventually gave in and played this game they had been basically begging me to try. I got really lucky and won £80 (from something like £2).

Next day my account had been suspended and I couldn’t cash out (from the betting account to my bank account - something I’d never had trouble with before). They were demanding that I send them various documents to prove my identity/age. After a long email exchange where I pointed out to their representative that it’s strange how they never needed further proof of identity (which I’d already provided when I set up the account) when I was giving them a few quid every weekend. Eventually they paid out and I shut the account.

Haven’t used online betting since and certainly never these silly fruit machine games they promote

Mine are suspended while still having my winnigs in them . Worst thing now is trying to speak directly to sort the problem out .
