Do you honestly think there's any chance the Trophy will be presented to the players in the dressing room?

The Club's made a bit of a rod for its own back, really, with such a strongly worded statement. That said, if they do present it in the dressing room, the bad guys won't be the Club, it'll be the few who've ruined it for themselves and everyone else. I'd imagine they'd feel the extent of everyone else's disappointment, if they did so. It also sounds like R!chie in particular would be very unhappy at the lack of respect shown. We can't have it both ways, I'd say. You can't pronounce him the best thing since sliced bread, and fervently hope that he pledges his future to the Orient, and at the same time act in a way he's already spelled out is disrepectful to him and the players.TRUMP Plumbing wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 8:48 pmDo you honestly think there's any chance the Trophy will be presented to the players in the dressing room?
If the club does go through with the on pitch presentation despite some people on the pitch - they've basically told everyone not to believe them on anything.

Maybe if fans do go on the pitch it may take Richie going on the microphone and make a personal appeal to the fans to get off.StillSpike wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 9:45 pmThe Club's made a bit of a rod for its own back, really, with such a strongly worded statement. If everyone stays in their seats then everyone will see the presentation………..simples.

Everyone's allowed at least one pitch invasion and since I missed last Saturday's game, it'll have to be this weekend.

I must admit this is my view also. What's so great about going on the pitch??Story of O wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 10:01 pm What’s so important about making a Pratt of yourself on the pitch?

Re: Saturday : The Trophy
FA and EFL have come down really hard on pitch invasions following last seasons incidents, I'd imagine it's a directive from them (see Coventry, Ipswich and Shef U's recent statements).StillSpike wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 9:45 pmThe Club's made a bit of a rod for its own back, really, with such a strongly worded statement. Re: Saturday : The Trophy
It's not that simples.
Justin made the same pleas over the microphone back in 2019. He was ignored by those that wanted to stay on the pitch to see the presentation. It won't be any different tomorrow and for that reason, I'm making sure I don't miss out again.
Also, assuming the presentation will be done facing the wealthy owners/fans in the West, everyone in the East and half of those in the North and South will also miss out.
The only logical solution is to let fans on the pitch, present the trophy on the balcony, then clear the pitch for the lap of honour.

Re: Saturday : The Trophy
I realise this will mildly inconvenience the dignitaries up on the balcony who would have to move, so this obviously won't happen.

Re: Saturday : The Trophy
Applause on the 53rd minute is absolutely pathetic and small time. It will also no doubt actually be on the 54th minute.
There’s no reason for anyone to be on the pitch tomorrow. Had one for promotion and then becoming Champions.

It is, if the fans stay in their seats, or at least off the pitch and allow the players and staff to have their day which they’ve earned and given us fans a lot of pleasure.
We can go on the pitch on Sunday at the “Promotion Party “
Anyway, Richie has made his plea, let’s hope the vast majority of fans listen and give the players some space to receive the trophy.
