Albums you never get bored with
Having just listened to Dirk Wears White Sox, again, it got me thinking of albums that I always go back to. Not necessarily masterpieces (apart from Entertainment! & The Downward Spiral), but ones that have been a constant and always enjoyable even though I wouldn't normally put them in a list of my favourite albums. I have probably played these at least one a year or more since their release
Dirk Wears White Sox - Adam & the Ants
Entertainment! - Gang of Four
Waiting - Fun Boy Three
The Downward Spiral - Nine Inch Nails
Mezzanine - Massive Attack
Brand New Eyes - Paramore

Re: Albums you never get bored with
I get bored of pretty much every album I love, cos I tend to play them to death.
The only albums I’ve loved for decades but never bored of - partly because they’ve always been played sparingly - is Portishead’s first and third album, This Is Hardcore by Pulp and Oddesey & Oracle by The Zombies

Re: Albums you never get bored with
Great thread. I always like to see music stuff up on here as :
TV- put there to poison our minds, and politics- well.......arguing with a fool proves there are two, no?, so music rules imho. It's much too personal and important, to bicker on the internet about.
I found this hard as I'm so old I've been buying stuff for 40+ years and still am but:
Bloc Party- Silent Alarm
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the aeroplane over the sea
British Sea Power - The decline of British Sea Power
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Slint - Spiderland
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Public Enemy - Fear of a black planet.
Zero 7 - Simple Things
Cinematic Orchestra- Every Day
Kate/Kae Tempest - Everybody Down
Kruder & Dorfmeister - K & D Sessions
Doves - Lost Souls
Pixies - Surfer Rosa
QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf
Turin Brakes- The Optimist
Beatles - Revolver
another shout for Portishead's first...
another shout for Massive Attack - Mezzanine
another shout for Metallica- Master of Puppets

Re: Albums you never get bored with
Led Zeppelin - the first four albums. I think they lost something after that and became pale imitations of what they started.
