Correct. Ray Goddard held the record from the 1970 promotion season.
Vigs beat that today.

Somewhat yes although Vigs has made some stunning saves to keep us in it at times, there's individual brilliance in there tooWally Banter wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 6:26 pm Congrats to the whole team for this achievement, I’d say

Also, whilst the defenders deserve credit too, the back 4 varies from game to game. Vigs has been ever present this season.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 6:47 pmSomewhat yes although Vigs has made some stunning saves to keep us in it at times, there's individual brilliance in there tooWally Banter wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 6:26 pm Congrats to the whole team for this achievement, I’d say

Ray Goddard will always be my number one goalkeeper, but Vigs and the rest of the team have done brilliantly to beat that record. Well done boys!

Well done ! I always like John Jackson and Paul Heald as well. But David Cass was the best

But saying that, Peter Wells did once say to me " Get your hair cut" . I always wished I said, look whose talking, but only thought of it 15 years later....

Re: Congratulations to Vigoroux
As Vigs himself has said, the clean sheets are not down to him alone. This team is the best defence in the league by a country mile, and because of that, Vigs has probably had less shots at him than most other keepers.
No doubt, hes a good keeper, but I think Goddard and Jackson from our past were both better ( playing at a higher level too)

John Jackson my top keeper, but it took him time to settle and get fit, wonder if his settling in period cost the Os promotion that season ?ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 10:00 am As Vigs himself has said, the clean sheets are not down to him alone. Jackson was Petchey's choice as number one keeper, but Ray Goddard did nothing wrong to justify being demoted to number two !!

Aah, so that's why he was so pumped at the end of the game.
2nd best keeper we've had in my 40+ years of watching us.
