Championship relegation

Post by Rich Tea Wellin »

Looks like Wigan and Blackpool are down. Who else do we want in league one next season?

Reading - not too far
Cardiff - decent away day
Qpr - London derby, lovely
Huddersfield- decent ground
Rotherham - revenge

Reading or Cardiff would be new grounds for me. Cardiff would be a much better day/weekend, so that would be my #1 choice.

QPR third, then Hudds. No desire to return to Rotherham.

They all look tough games but QPR can’t buy a win at the moment. London derby and easy away trip so I’ll vote for them

Lizzie line all the way to reading from Liverpool Street is an absolute dream of an away game. Them or QPR please so we can have some easy trips at decent grounds.

nearly 2 hours on a train with no toilet facilities that stops every couple of minutes?

Then after that a walk of literally miles to get to the ground which is in middle of nowhere

I remember QPR being an bumhole to get to, but not sure why.

I also remember the seats being ridiculously cramped.

I also recall one of our old fans beating up one of their ball boys. I hope he's not out for revenge.

Definitely a bit cramped in the away end but hard to get to? It's a 10 minute walk from White City.

Since the League was fully nationalised our record in 14 meetings is P14 W3 D6 L5. Not the worst I've ever seen and have knocked them out the League Cup twice in recent memory.

We beat QPR at home 4 0 in the 1980s. Stan Bowles & Chidders show. QPR away would be great. Easy to get to. Pubs around Shepherds Bush Green. Nearby stations Sheps Bush & White City on the Central Line & Sheps Bush Market on Circle (i think). However I think it will be Reading that goes down

I have an irrational hatred for Reading, so would like them to drop all the way to step 5 of the non-league pyramid..
Theirs (and Cardiff) would be new grounds for me, and though I did both their old ones I'm no longer bothered really by such things.

QPR would be best I think. A little cramped, but a packed out away end and an easy trip along the Central line...

QPR is the only ground Orient could do on TfL with no changes, right? Unless you counted Leyton Midland Road to South Tottenham, but White Hart Lane's a decent walk from there.

Edit: completely forgot West Ham, LOL.

QPR upper & lower school end hold 2700. Not sure we would take that many for a league game

Haven't been to Loftus Road in years, but I remember the small seats. I'm bigger now.

QPR
Added bonus
West Ham from Prem, then there will only be 1 Div between us and the dream of us being in the same league will be that much closer, long shot I know but one day it might happen 🙏🤞

Last game I can remember at QPR, They had Phill Parkes in goal and murdered us 5-1 or 6-1 not been back since.

Huddersfield for me, easiest to get to from Scotland, the more northern teams the better for me, selfish I know!
