Saturday's permutations
Correct me if I'm wrong, but to get promoted on Saturday then the following needs to happen
We need to win...........................................84pts
Carlisle & Stockport need not to win........83pts maximum for them
Bradford need to lose...............................83pts maximum
If Bradford draw, they could get 84pts but currently have an 11 goal worse goal difference
Fixtures
Sutton v Orient
Carlisle v Northampton
Gillingham v Stockport
Rochdale v Bradford
Key upcoming games
18th April. Carlisle v Stockport
29th April. Orient v Stockport
29th April. Northampton v Bradford
8th May. Bradford v Orient
We need to win...........................................84pts

Bradford need to lose...............................83pts maximum
If Bradford draw, they could get 84pts but currently have an 11 goal worse goal difference

Re: Saturday's permutations
No team (or ourselves) is going to stop us being promoted and we'll go up as Champions.

Re: Saturday's permutations
I needed to work it out as my wife needed to know when to pick me up from the station. I gave her a non promotion time and a "I haven't got an 'effing clue" one.

I don't want to rain on your parade - because I know you are getting excited - but we will either go up, or more likely it will roll onto Gillingham. We are 1000/1 ON to go up. Its just when.

Re: Saturday's permutations
I know we will, but knowing I'll get a lift home from the station was my main motivation for whether it could happen on Saturday.LittleMate wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 8:03 am I don't want to rain on your parade - because I know you are getting excited - but we will either go up, or more likely it will roll onto Gillingham. Re: Saturday's permutations
Then the question should be addressed to your missus and not the forum . If she's a good 'un she will understand if you go missing for 24 hours. If you've been with her for decades, like I have mine, she'd be quite happy for you to go missing that long!!The Mindsweep wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 8:07 amI know we will, but knowing I'll get a lift home from the station was my main motivation for whether it could happen on Saturday.LittleMate wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 8:03 am I don't want to rain on your parade - because I know you are getting excited - but we will either go up, or more likely it will roll onto Gillingham. Re: Saturday's permutations
Stevenage & Northampton are not a factor on Saturday, because if they lose they can still get more than 84pts.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 1:55 pmYou forgot Stevenage ?The Mindsweep wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 7:45 am Correct me if I'm wrong, but to get promoted on Saturday then the following needs to happen

Re: Saturday's permutations
i agree with most of that, one exception is if Bradford City and Northampton both fail to win, that ticks the box on the Bradford line too - for then both Bradford City and Northampton can't make 84 points given they still have to play each other. The Mindsweep wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 7:45 am Correct me if I'm wrong, but to get promoted on Saturday then the following needs to happen
