Do I have the right to moan?

You are a paying customer, you have a right. And kor did I use that right between 2014/15 and 2017/18 and then the last few years. But you have to pick your moments otherwise it sort of invalidates when you are having a moan about a genuine issue.

The fact is that league two football isn’t very good, the product on the pitch isn’t why we go. As well as that, the tactics you’re moaning about have gotten us to the top of the league. So, really, your moans are misplaced and a bit odd. Would you prefer hoofball and to be 10th right now?

I am an very oldie oldie. The time to moan is if we had lost such a key match at the final whistle. There is a clue in what most call ourselves. Football " Supporters ". We won a key match> As Mrs Thatcher once said:- " rejoice !"

I can understand the guys in front getting annoyed, having to sit through 90 minutes with someone moaning rather than supporting always pissed me off.

I would like a bit more tempo to our passing, even when its going sideways, for players to drive into space when they find a bit of it (like Moncur does) and for us to play passes forward into feet of the better quality players that we do have. It would be nice to have a few more players that can square up and beat people 1 on 1 - but the table doesn't lie, we've been the most effective team in the league, despite a lack of all of the above.

A young bloke in front of me and friends has been taking a pop at us for having a moan during the game especially early on when we can make bad passes or not kicking the ball in Row Z and thus putting unnecessary pressure on the team. Says he has supported for 10 years and best year ever for him so we shouldn't moan and he knows more about football than we do!

Been season ticket holder and supporting for over 50 years and have been through thick and thin and there has been plenty of thin.. Travelled to away games eg Gateshead, Solihull, Maidenhead, Dover in the really bad times .
Do you think I have earned the right to express my feelings even though sometimes a bit moany?

If you just come to moan, then it may be prudent to ask yourself why you come, and why it is a good use of your time.

If we were more direct, which is clearly what you wish for, but lower in the division, then I guess you would moan about the league position then.

There is no pleasing some people. It is April and the team you support are 7 points clear, yet still you moan about minutiae.

It is your right of course, but it strikes me that it would be better for you to live in the moment a bit more and enjoy the ride, rather than searching for something to whine about.
This is your leisure time, after all - try and enjoy it a bit, would be my advice.

I'm interpreting this bit

as meaning frustration at our possession play. As said, there are a fair few people around the ground who can't cope with Vigs, Beckles and Turns trying to play the ball out from the back, I'm assuming he's one of those.

Noone would have issue with Turns smashing the ball away that him at Lydon left for each other.

The thing about the possession play in the defensive third is that when it goes wrong, it seems superficially to completely vindicate the moaners, but when it goes right, the moaners think that there was a lucky pass and then the attackers took over and did a job, unrelated to what the defence did.

Try watching spurs where they really do just fanny about the back until they play into trouble then boot it anyway

The other thing I was thinking about in the whole "twatting about at the back Vs booting it tae f***" styles of play is this. I wonder if clubs in higher divisions would be so keen to loan their young defensive talent to us, if they knew we'd just teach them to boot it tae f***? Perhaps we make ourselves a more attractive loan host by playing as we do. That and being top of the division on the back of it.

I don't think it's quite as simple as that. There's an argument that a defensive player is just as well served going to a struggling side where they're going to be required to do more defending. It depends on the player and what areas of their game need the most development, I guess, and making sure the loaning club fits.

As moaning is the subject, I'm fed up with people leaping up as soon as any of our players get near when we're attacking the south stand goal. I'm not tall enough to see over them even if I stand and mostly I can't see round them either. Wish there was a standing area or a steward who would tell them to sit down. As with the other problem, you only get abuse if you tell them they're being unreasonable.

The fannying around at the back can get a bit stressful to watch so I think you are ok to moan a bit

"a bit stressful" is an understatement, especially to us who are on blood pressure medication. But I do like the way it bores the opposition to death and wears out their forwards who are running to and fro across the pitch chasing the ball. And when it has come off and leads within a handful of passes to a goal, well - say no more.
