A sensible comment. So in effect we don’t really know, we just have to decide whether we believe the experts or not. I’ve given a couple of examples when this approach has been wrong. But of course I’m equally sure they get it right too.
As for climate change? I guess I’ll go along with the majority view in the absence of reading the scientific evidence.
Is climate change real?

Ah, fair enough, you got me.
If one noted climate change denier, who admits to receiving 40% of his funding from fossil fuel companies and also agrees with climate change (just at a lower rate than everyone else) says it's all wrong, then who am I to argue.

This was a point I made earlier. When scientists or other experts make claims tis good to look at who is funding them.

Now as regards the disemination of information in our society can you apply your thinking to that and get to the root of the problem?

Not at all ,I came across this completely by accident. It reminded me of this thread and thought it might be of interest. If you don't agree with what's being said , that's fine .StillSpike wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 12:04 amTranslates as:RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 11:55 pm

Even if you weren't looking for it, it's doubtful you came across it completely by accident; more likely you came across it because youtube's algorithms spotted a pattern in your viewing & served up more of the same to you.
I came across this because a friend of mine sent me the link: https://xkcd.com/1732/

I'd have more time for people who were just honest and said "you know what, I just don't give a f***, let the planet burn", rather than desperately trying to hawk discredited psuedoscience as 'an alternative view'.

Look at you with your 'friends', no algorithms for you.Hawaii Five O wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 12:40 am Even if you weren't looking for it, it's doubtful you came across it completely by accident; more likely you came across it because youtube's algorithms spotted a pattern in your viewing & served up more of the same to you.
