Is RW as good as we think.
Or is he feeling the pressure?
He seems to be making unnecessary substitutions when the team are coping well enough!
We’re just giving points away from winning positions.
I hope the players want promotion as much as the fans.

Yes.
We are all fallible. He makes mistakes but I have every confidence that his character points to him taking it on the chin and learning. And that he can give the players a kick up the arse.

Re: Is RW as good as we think.
Perhaps he has a bit too much faith in a couple of players who aren't up to the level required. Kick up the backside required for a few of them too, believing your own hype before the season is done (or the game in today's case) is dangerous.
Re: Is RW as good as we think.
1: “Good as we think” and “feeling the pressure” aren’t opposites
2: there are fine margins in whether any managerial decision within a game comes to be seen as foolish or a master stroke
3: and yet the results over the course of the season are, self evidently, the best in the division
4: the players want it more. Obviously.

Re: Is RW as good as we think.
Like I said In another post, some of his substitutions are battling ? Apart from injuries he seems to make changes for the sake of it,personally I feel bringing on Clay ain’t going to do you any favours, and you may as well put the kit man up front instead of Drinnan and Kelman. Ruel plays better down the middle as was proven with his goal today. However I’m sure Wellens isn’t to happy by the lake of concentration by the team as much as we are.

Also to the original question yes he is as good as we think but the squad isn't as good as some believe. To think there's a group who would give Clay a contract in L1

No complaints with the subs today, but more importantly we've forgotten how to attack.

If you thought we were going to be 6 points clear at the top at the start of of the season, you're lying.

Re: Is RW as good as we think.
Impossible, at the start of the season, only 3 points
How about the end of the season?

Well let's put it this way, I've been very disappointed that he didn't address our lack of an attacking and goal scoring threat which was quite evident from months ago.

A very long time ago as you well know.
However we don’t seem to be able to hold onto a lead lately!

Re: Is RW as good as we think.
I think we would have done in January but that Northampton game where we lost three CB's in one go changed everything .Chief crazy horse wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 7:53 pm Well let's put it this way, I've been very disappointed that he didn't address our lack of an attacking and goal scoring threat which was quite evident from months ago.

Re: Is RW as good as we think.
Sorry, but that's simply putting up a smoke screen for our poor form over the last few months.
