Re: Giant scoreboards
Tbf I did enjoy the mobile torch "we're f*cking bored" light show during the Hendon era.

That's right. We must be the only team in the FL struggling to find space to put one up.OTF Photography Ltd wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 9:27 am I admit that I like a scoreboard. Tinpot we haven’t got one.

Re: Giant scoreboards
NT said one of the reasons for a board is for Viggers to know how much time is left - presumably so he can time-waste by diving on the floor more times when collecting the ball late in a game.

Re: Giant scoreboards
We don't need a scoreboard.
What's wrong with the old fashion way. The crowd would ask the manager, when we're 2-0 up, Richie Richie what's the score , Richie what's the score. He would turn to the crowd with his two fingers up in a V for victory style.
The same chant to the opposition manager would also get the same response, but his fingers would be the other way round

Re: Giant scoreboards
Yes, a good point, but what about when the crowd are asking for the score and we happen to be losing at that point ? Richie will quite rightly think we're taking the piss.

Re: Giant scoreboards
I've genuinely forgotten the score during games in the past. A scoreboard would save me the inconvenience of having to sneakily check the score on my phone, which always carries the risk of being spotted. So, I'm all for it.

Re: Giant scoreboards
I'm not worried about having a scoreboard; a clock (or two) to tell us the time would do me but I can see its attractions. As well as being informative
(score/ecorers) and being a possible further source of ad revenue, it could replay events at half time and possibly even link in the stream boys for a half time evaluation of play.

I can see where NT is coming from, totally. He sees all other grounds with electronic scoreboards, why not us. He wants to keep abreast with modernity. Like it.

You are not the only one. Here's someone who's job, it would seem, is to know what's going on. Also features a view of Stark Park.
