They can claim to be impartial because they’re taking action about someone breaching impartiality.

Just shows how far we've gone as a country that, after sobbing about how mean it is that anyone would make comparisons between your policies and 1930s Germany, your immediate response is to do things you'd probably have seen in 1930s Germany and a large chunk of the population will lap it up.

Alternatively - employer takes action against employee ( or is it freelancer?) who repeatedly has broken the terms of their employment (engagement)
