Next Season
Every club (or certainly most) faces the season with optimism. We are no different. When Bruce Ricoh was appointed Arsenal Manager he was asked about his priorities. His response was that he was aiming to win all four of the competitions the team were entered in. Of course, he had Bergkamp, but he did not do much in the pre-season friendly at Brisbane Road. Anyway, I think we could make the Play-Offs.

Re: Next Season
I can not prevent myself from having a small annual "investment": it has got to happen at some time, surely???

Re: Next Season
Automatic or nothing for me...The thought of making the play offs and then losing would be too much to bear.

Re: Next Season
I agree . Our record in play off finals isn't a good one .Chief crazy horse wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 11:47 am Automatic or nothing for me...The thought of making the play offs and then losing would be too much to bear.
Re: Next Season
Most of our present squad were going well until December through to Feb. RW arrived and we showed form and results that would have seen us automatically promoted, had it not been for the Dec to March disaster. We've pretty much still got that side, plus new signings, plus returns to fitness, plus RW. It's very promising.

I agree but we could still do with another couple of new signings .cymruO wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 4:07 pm Most of our present squad were going well until December through to Feb. Re: Next Season
Need to be aiming for top 3, nothing less.
Keeper is rock solid
Defence is solid and well covered (Happe fitness dependent)
Midfield has had a big bump in quality with Moncur coming in, still one short in there though
Attack has some real quality, one short there to give us a wildcard option and to make sure we're not over-reliant on Drinan

Re: Next Season
I'm not massively optimistic by nature, but the squad and manager do look good -- play-offs seems like a pretty realistic ambition. (Automatic promotion would be lovely, obviously.)
