Interesting Story ? Not really interesting about the O's though. Just a Story about a bloke who committed crime served his time & brought bad press to the clubs name !The Orient Hour wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 12:04 amFormer deputy chairman with a very interesting story to tell. I’m sure a lot of serious criminals have “interesting” stories to tell. Who have you got on next week? Ian Huntley? The Orient Hour wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 12:04 amFormer deputy chairman with a very interesting story to tell. Tbh one of the most interesting guests we've had. Inviting any of his victims on to a future show to tell their interesting stories too?

Re: Recording of The Orient Hour with Nick Levene
A criminal driven by pure greed and ego. The kind of person who should have nothing to do with the club and whose opinions of the club are completely irrelevant. This has certainly put me off ever listening to “The Orient Hour” in the future if this is the incredibly low calibre of guests they have on.
“But Levene was also a compulsive gambler who loved a spread bet before his empire collapsed in bankruptcy. Levene told investors he had bought shares on their behalf but instead spent the money on buying property in the UK and Israel, expensive guns, flash cars, private schools for his children and flying friends to parties in St Tropez. He once spent nearly £600,000 on a family celebration and his parties attracted luminaries such as Simon Cowell and Sir Philip Green, the retail tycoon who owns Topshop.”

Tbf, having read that article, at least he's not gone after the little people and instead fleeced those who were already loaded and motivated by further greed. Not going to lose too much sleep over the buggers who own Stagecoach.

Re: Recording of The Orient Hour with Nick Levene
I don’t share your need to express good wishes. Very bad judgement to have him on and give him the oxygen of publicity and your sympathy. Beano ain’t really a comic is he? More a dangerous serial criminal who doesn’t give a sh*t about anyone or anything than himself and his supposedly wonderful lifestyle. The Orient Hour wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 12:04 amFormer deputy chairman with a very interesting story to tell. I'm assuming he was given short shrift in the interview? Loads of searching questions asked of him?

Looks like he shafted the rich who must have been greedy to fall for his lies. Working class people with a couple of grand are happy to stick it in the bank. The likes of Richard Caring are still filthy rich

Re: Recording of The Orient Hour with Nick Levene
That's a bit poor from you. A former deputy chairman of Orient who is willing to come onto the show and talk openly about his growing up supporting the club, his success in business leading to becoming vice chairman of the club, his wrongdoing and the price it has cost him. He has lost a lot, deservedly so by his own admission, but he has battled cancer recently and has just had a pancreatic op, I think he's been brave to face up and be honest and open about everything. To even bring a child murderer into the conversation is very poor from you.The Reverend wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 9:43 amI’m sure a lot of serious criminals have “interesting” stories to tell. If you bothered to listen rather than assume you'd find the chat interesting I am sure. Anyway all of us on the show do wish Nick all the best going fwd. He did wrong, he's paid a price for that and he deserves a 2nd chance.

Please also explain how he achieved his "success".
