Did they ask him why we haven't brought in a 9 or 10 that we so desperately need?

Priority was midfield (as per RWellen request). Not enough for a striker as well in the budgetTRUMP Plumbing wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 9:10 am Did they ask him why we haven't brought in a 9 or 10 that we so desperately need?

Good listen. We have 4th highest budget. Extra £150,000 spent in wages in January transfer window. Offer made for LV turned down immediately. No interest in Smythe. Interest shown in Daniel NK but never went further. The match at Northampton changed our tfr priorities.

If the priority was midfield, why did we bring in a bloke who hasn’t played football for a year?Lifelongfan wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 9:15 amPriority was midfield (as per RWellen request). What does the £150k spent in January mean?
Can't believe the owners are that short-sighted so as to not bring in the 9 or 10 we needed because some CBs got injured.

I'm assuming he's including Sadlier and the wide positions in that 'midfield' definition. The Reverend wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 9:35 amIf the priority was midfield, why did we bring in a bloke who hasn’t played football for a year?Lifelongfan wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 9:15 amPriority was midfield (as per RWellen request). Re: Recording of The Orient Hour Extra Show with Martin Ling
Not just injured but suspended. Just think, Beckles lack of disclipline in that Northampton game forced a change in the entire transfer policy in Jan which in turn could have negative consequences on our title challenge. I’d strip him of the captaincy for that. It’s was blatant that Northampton were targeting him and trying to get him sent off, and he fell for it. Not what you expect from a club captain.TRUMP Plumbing wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 9:35 amThanks for the summary.aylesburyos wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 9:31 am Good listen. We have 4th highest budget. Good point. Isn’t Beckles vice captain? I'm suprised frankfurter didnt tell you .
As for bringing in centre halves
Happe & Ogie were injured before
Omars red card so 2 CH'
were still required to keep 4 in the squad .
Finnally the £150 k is wages for those just
in to the end of the season .
There is more, lots of guffawing by
the panel at those who believe
there is no ambition here !
