The ground is a sellout most weeks so there's no room for income expansion there. What's the plan to not come straight back down again?

Re: Meet the Chairman
Have they said it's to do with ffp? I imagine it's more a question of there only being so much money they are willing to collectively invest, which is fair enough. They have put a huge amount of cash in already and our transfer business this season hasn't been cheap.
I'm pretty sure one of the board members said in the Orienteer that you get an immediate chunky uplift in income from being in league 1 through increased TV revenue share. Our attendances right now would put us firmly mid table, even with a reversion to more around the 5-6k mark once you lose the draw of a promotion push. The plan will obviously be to recruit smart, back the manager who has been fantastic for us so far and overachieve, the same objective we had the entire time we were in league 1 last time around.

Re: Meet the Chairman
If it isn’t FFP and if we don’t get promoted it’s a gamble to really lose the good faith with a lot of the fan base.
Not surprisingly I will not be renewing my season ticket if we fail to get promoted due to the unrealistic stinginess of those with the money.
I won’t see Tuffers reply as he was foed ages ago.

Yup, Devlin on the podcast the other day
Another one on that front... was Ethan Light signed on a pro contract and thus part of our FFP liabilities? If so was another academy level player really necessary in this window when the first team needs the backing right now?

And how much do you think existing player wages would need to increase by to be competitive? Poundy , with the greatest of respect you always say that . If we fail to win promotion we’ll all be gutted but we’ll all be back again because we love the club . After supporting this club for God knows how long, you must also love the club and that’s why you’ll be back to suffer along with the rest of us. Anyway, let’s try and be positive and get behind Richie and the team. Everything is still in our own hands.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 10:07 pm If it isn’t FFP and if we don’t get promoted it’s a gamble to really lose the good faith with a lot of the fan base.

How much would we need to be sold for for the investors to make a profit?BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 2:25 pmThat’s the club’s plan. I want to know when all the investors will be selling up for a tidy profit
We've lost over 2m for the last two seasons, it was over 1m the season before. I'm pretty sure they paid a decent wedge to Bechetti at the beginning, and the first few years under them we were posting big losses.
They would need to sell up for what, 15-20m, to make a decent return on us, assuming we suddenly stop bleeding money in the near future. Really struggle to imagine anyone is paying that for a club that doesn't even own its stadium.

Re: Meet the Chairman
I think Lingy said owners can inject money into a club for transfers provided that money wasn’t a loan . Maybe it’s as simple as Gillingham and Stevenage having more wealthy owners than us . That’s fair enough. Previously we had ( allegedly) a billionaire owner yet look what happened. Money doesn’t always guarantee success on the pitch.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 6:02 pmMaybe they get around the FairPlay rules by their owners personally paying for the players.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 4:06 pmGood question. Why can't the owners bite the bullet and inject enough money in that gets in the players needed to get us promoted ?
