I queried this months ago so it would be poor of Brill and the club to get to July and only realise then that he can't play. Can't see this being the case. If so Embleton would have said we are trying to sign a keeper.

Can somebody explain to me what circumstances means that a player can never play in the league again?

I’ve never heard of such a thing.

Insurance payout due to injury, although I'd have thought it would apply to any full time club regardless of league or non league.

It wouldn't have stopped him playing in friendlies even if this was the case.

Will go with the club's staff on this, who tweeted he had a shoulder issue but is training.
