Re: Recording of The Orient Hour RICHIE WELLENS
How do they calculate these numbers? Clearly the actual number of people who watch the recording will be minute compared to more mainstream podcasts so is this just saying something like “of the 8 people who watched it most shared it as well”?

Re: Recording of The Orient Hour RICHIE WELLENS
Well you could say that about any stat they provide. Listeners are up minutes produced are up , everything is up. As for listens. As of earlier this evening the embedded recording of the Wellens interview on the Phoenix website had received over 3k hits then there's the hits to the other platforms. We also received a stat from Spotify that the mins produced were more than 91% of others in our sports category. Obviously as you say our figures will be small in comparison to the big nationals, but very encouraging for a club of our size nonetheless.

Some nice comments on the message board for the show, sadly not this board so far.
Richie trying hard to end the negativity and we post up a stat that is positive and that is immediately met by a negative spin. Never mind.
On another note, just speaking with a journo from Southend and he thinks they could be gone by the end of Jan. Nobody has been paid (again) & Martin needs a bridging loan allegedly and the lenders ain't lending!

RW is great to listen to, clearly thinking through the long-term plan as well as the short-term goals and conveys it through with clarity and authority. In Wellens we trust!

Can we get tuffers on the show, it'll be his chance to sell his ideas and perhaps explain wtf he's on about.

What an excellent interview, his focus and understanding must terrify the opposition.
He made a comment about singing, or rather the lack of it (at home, presumably). If I was CEO, I would pay for a small choir to come to matches and start the singing-is this legal ie with EFL rules does anyone know (or get the Directors/non football staff to start the singing).
I always remember Josh Coulson joining in his forehead song on the pitch

Why get a choir ? Just treat every game now as if it was p'boro in the play off semi at home & make NOISE !Harlow wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 4:54 pm What an excellent interview, his focus and understanding must terrify the opposition.

But the noise doesn't happen does it, why else would RW even mention it. Perhaps we need the Lloyd Webbers to help

Re: Recording of The Orient Hour RICHIE WELLENS
Hello Orient hour, it's interesting news, but it doesn't really give me any satisfaction about Southends problems. In fact I'd like them to keep going and preferably to get back into the EFL. But whilst on this subject I'd like to ask a question which I hope filters back to the owners, directors etc ; Has the club made any attempt to get back or negotiate with our former owner Hearn the lease of our ground which he walked away with ? And of course this same man being the source of all our capacity problems at the moment leads me to question two ; When the 'sold out' notice goes up for our home games, which has very much been the case of late, has the club estimated as to how many prospective fans are turned away ? Thanks in advance. The Orient Hour wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 11:27 pm Some nice comments on the message board for the show, sadly not this board so far.
