Decent film that, like others she has starred in, is enhanced by the casting of Florence Pugh. Hopefully she's earned the right to play the lead in a really good film now, as she clearly has the acting chops and screen presence.
Slow pace of a film is not necessarily a virtue imo. Seems to me she does not have much of a range - very rarely seem her become animated, it's mainly her fixed, serious facial expression.

Guilty pleasure: Strike. It is really helpful that it is possible to watch the whole series in one go on IPlayer. I like Vienna Blood, too.

I thought she demonstrated plenty of range in Don't Worry Darling. She pretty much carried that film.

Yes. If I'm judging a film I find that it's quite an important element.

Need to watch Traitors. During early lockdown a load of neighbours on our estate played Werewolf over Zoom every other week and it was a blast, the TV show seems like a jazzed up version. Plus Winkleman 😍.

As regards Strike I'm totally baffled by how JK Rowling came up with the fresh new premise for a show whose main character is a down at heel, down on his luck, PI with a feature coat, a physical disability and a history of troubled and broken relationships. She's never been derivative before.

I read the first book years ago. I’ve been known to defend JK Rowling, but not on this, which is like Alan Partridge wrote a detective book

Even Strike is named after some mythical Cornish hero.

I haven't played anything other than FM in about a decade, so unfortunately not.

Its a wonderful life- are you old folk kidding me voting this best Christmas film? It barely mentions Christmas. The first hour is a slow build of a mans life- meets girl, has boring job, has kids etc. The second half he has a midlife crisis and the film turns into Christmas Carol lite. 6/10

He tried to get me to play this game when he found out I had VR.

I politely declined, of course.

Guardian top 50 tv shows of the year. Severance was easily the best thing I’ve seen this year.

Obviously this sort of thing will always be subjective, but for Better Call Saul to not even be in the top three is ridiculous.

I've got PSVR. Love it but doesnt look like the tech is quite taking off.

Louis Theroux interviews Bear Grylls- found his macho claims quite entertaining, one was that he hasnt farted in years.

I watched the Stormzy one and that northern emo kid, they were both great, but that's it.
