Mrs NES & I had the fantastic experience of seeing Fleetwood Mac at the O2, two to three years prior to the pandemic. Absolutely fantastic concert and Chrissie McVie joined the band for the last 30 mins or so. What a voice and songwriting talent. She will be missed.

Maybe we were Jonah's as that year we saw The Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Meatloaf, Status Quo & Chas & Dave. Since then, Charlie Watts, Rick Parfitt, Meatloaf & Chas Hodges have passed away and now Chrissie McVie - or maybe it is that we are all getting older.

Very sad news about Terry Hall. RIP.

For me, Ghost Town will always be a reminder of the desperation of the 80s under Thatcher, and The Specials were at the forefront of the anti-racism movements of the time.

Saw The Specials a few times over the past few years and the whole place was rocking from start to finish.

Very sad indeed. A man who led from the front in the battle against racism and the Tories. Rest in power comrade. You were an example to us all.

The team should have gained greater acknowledgement of their achievement. Working-class heroes all of them.

Turn it up. There is hardly a ball gets kicked in any game in England without some moronic commentator launching into one and the guy who scored two goals in the final got a sirhood as did the jewel thief.

This country: Gavin Williamson is given a knighthood, but not George Cohen or many of the rest. (As read on the BBC…)
