Rushden tonight

Re: Rushden tonight
Seems like a 4-3-3.
Hopefully Turley or McAnuff make an appearance second half.
Betting odds, we are a lot longer tonight than we were against Hornchurch. I know it's two games in two days but with those playing only 30 minutes last night probably getting longer tonight, I can't see it making that much of a difference, we should be comfortable.

Agreed. This run of form scoring against sub-NL teams will hold him in good stead against L2 opposition.

No excuses for Gorman having no preseason. Let’s see what he can do when fully fit and prepared

Re: Rushden tonight
What are you talking about. I want him to be fecking mega for us this season. None of the no preseason, recovering from injury stuff we were fed last year.
Come KO he will be fit, prepared and ready to go. Let’s see what he can do, didn’t see too much last season.

Me too , it just seems the usual doom mongers are slagging Gorman and Alibi off before the season even startsdOh Nut wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:02 pmWhat are you talking about. Some think Alibi is just looking for an excuse.BIGRON wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:09 pmMe too , it just seems the usual doom mongers are slagging Gorman and Alibi off before the season even startsdOh Nut wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:02 pmWhat are you talking about. I thought the goal he got against "sub-NL" Hull City was quite good.Disoriented wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 8:44 pmAgreed. This run of form scoring against sub-NL teams will hold him in good stead against L2 opposition.

Re: Rushden tonight
I’m sorry but saying that Alabi is not league 2 standard does not make somebody a “doom monger”. Utterly ridiculous thing to say.BIGRON wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:09 pmMe too , it just seems the usual doom mongers are slagging Gorman and Alibi off before the season even startsdOh Nut wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:02 pmWhat are you talking about. The player had an entire season, in the division below, to prove himself. He scored 2 goals. A striker. Scoring 2 goals. In the conference.
His appearances last season were often comical. Entertaining, I’ll admit.
However, for people to observe, based on an entire seasons worth of evidence, that he’s highly unlikely to be up to the standard of league 2 football is totally reasonable.
This idea that he’s suddenly going start banging in goals is just plain bizarre. It defies all logic.

Saying that Alabi wasn't good enough for two managers at National League level is not being a doom monger . It's a fact .Buckingham wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:23 pmI’m sorry but saying that Alabi is not league 2 standard does not make somebody a “doom monger”. Re: Rushden tonight
Gorman was coming off the back off a broken ankle into no pre-season. He showed flashes of a good player last year. He’ll be good in a 3 man midfield.
