had a phone call apparently I took out a mail ware 3 years ago for £300.
positive that I did not but you do get a little doubt in your mind.
now its on a roll on charge that is now £2.000 how they got my number I don't no
told them where to go then they started ringing my mobile, how they got that number is beyond me
its only a pay as you go cheepy probably only a very select few no it .
so far they have rung me at least 30 times in less than 2 seconds between calls.
what is the best way to put them off

You could always block the number(s) or put the number into your search bar and see if other people have had problems with them

Get on a plane to India asap. When you get there go round their gaff and smash them up. That should sort them.

Ps. I believe you need a visa to get into India. When you apply for one DO NOT put that going there to smash up some conman and give them a burst lip as your reason for the visit.

Just block their number on your mobile.

Pretty sure you've no option other than to phone them back and pay up the £2k you owe them before they send the debt collectors round.

I don't generally answer stupids like this and belive me I had nuiscance calls for years.

Now EDF are on the game.I've had 14 texts and also letters and two phone calls from Teeside to do with EDF,they are trying so hard to fit a smart meter.I looked up the number.When I get hassled I get the hump so I just ignore but I am a bit of a past master at this as my landline was bombarded for years so I either let my answer machine answer it and turned the answer machine off which in turn stopped the nuiscance call in it's tracks,sometimes it was silent.I generally looked the number up.I rarely get calls now.

I'm pretty sure the landline/mobile number is passed on once it gets onto the "circuit".

I keep getting phone calls like this .
They tell me its my internet
They ask me to open windows
They ask me if i have opened windows
I say yes .
They say what can you see

I tell them grass.
They then normally call me a f*cking b*st*rd or something similar.

I once told them to hold the line please,
Half an hour later i pick the phone up & ask did
they enjoy the wait .

The best way is as soon as they mention malware or internet connections i say
Can i pay you £15 million pounds please by credit card
Really really loudly .

I love getting these kind of calls , it just tickles my devilment switch.

Let them talk you through showing it on your machine. When they ask you to start it up tell them it says

Then wait for the phone to hang up

One guy knew I was taking the Michael and played along, eventually ended up with him and his call centre buddies singing Taylor Swift songs down the phone. Fun times.

All you have to do is answer once and tell them you know it’s a scam and that you’ve already contacted the police who will be in touch. They won’t call back.
