Experts in breaking up play, frustrating the other team then seeing out the added time keeping the ball up the opponent end of the pitch. The time might be added on but 5 mins of us taking throw ins to Theo / Sotiriou is far better than 5 mins of opposition pressure when their tails are up.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 4:57 pmCos we are expert time watsters, which doesn’t actually waste any timeRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 4:55 pm I don't know if its just me but has anybody else noticed that when we're winning there always seems to be a lot of extra time .

Re: Exiles thread vs Barrow
It's beginning to worry me that bigger clubs will see that we doing well and will start sniffing round us soon, especially as we start to head for the new year.

I know that's what usually happens but If our club really wants promotion it's down to them to turn down all offers until the end of the season .Chicken Dhansak wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:15 pm It's beginning to worry me that bigger clubs will see that we doing well and will start sniffing round us soon, especially as we start to head for the new year.

They also added that it's the best start of 'any' team in division two ! And they finished the programme by saying 'Orient go marching on'.

The thing that amazes me is our goals conceded! El-Miz is the best signing we’ve made for a long time. Should be offering whatever he wants to sign permanently.

I think Ipswich rate him, unlikely to let him go.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:48 pm The thing that amazes me is our goals conceded! El-Miz is the best signing we’ve made for a long time. Should be offering whatever he wants to sign permanently.

Re: Exiles thread vs Barrow
I'm pinching myself, what a start! Hats off yet again to the players & RW. To win 9 out of 10 is incredible, enjoy it people as this rarely happens.
The great thing is that we haven't hit top form by any means.
At the moment, we have an excellent combination of quality, toughness & game management. To concede only 4 so far & 2 of those in 1 game is simply outstanding.
Long may the Orient Express roar down the tracks.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Re: Exiles thread vs Barrow
No harm in trying . I'd also like us to try and keep Kelman . This squad and especially under Richie. Wellens looks like the real deal . We must do all we can to keep everybody together .Omygawd wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:52 pmI think Ipswich rate him, unlikely to let him go.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:48 pm The thing that amazes me is our goals conceded! I believe it all stems from Richie . He's proving himself to be a bloody good manager and I feel we're lucky to have him .

Re: Exiles thread vs Barrow
We’ve not mastered it yet, that’s the problem. We need to slow games down, break the oppositions rhythm but not pick up so many bookings and added on time in the process.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:05 pmExperts in breaking up play, frustrating the other team then seeing out the added time keeping the ball up the opponent end of the pitch. Why have they loaned him out then ? He’s ready to be in and around L1 football right now.Omygawd wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:52 pmI think Ipswich rate him, unlikely to let him go.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 5:48 pm The thing that amazes me is our goals conceded! And when is his contract up, does anyone know?

Re: Exiles thread vs Barrow
Ipswich fans seem to think he’ll be sold in summer as they just signed another CM on top of the 4 already there! Contract runs out until 2024. I’m told Ipswich have a recall option in JanuaryTRUMP Plumbing wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 8:01 pmWhy have they loaned him out then ? We should try and sign him up permanently . Along with Moncur he is the central midfielder we've been crying out for for agesLofctillwedie wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 8:40 pmIpswich fans seem to think he’ll be sold in summer as they just signed another CM on top of the 4 already there!
