Re: RIP a tribute
Thinking about those bees, I suddenly realised that my cat had not been informed of the Queen's death. So I took a deep breath and broke the sad news to her.
She was visibly upset, by the way she yawned and then started licking her bumhole.

Re: RIP a tribute
Sad that people are dunking on a company just trying to ensure that it's patriotic staff have the chance to pay their respects. Sign of the times that people would prioritise their holidays over the love of one's country, honouring the greatest woman ever and civic duty. Reeks of misogyny.

Re: RIP a tribute
On R2 yesterday Jezza Vine asked whether the death of Lizabet of Hanover was an opportunity to discuss death with the kids. PLease note he wasn't advocating it per se. He was only posing the question. So he's in the clear before youse all start ranting at him.

Re: RIP a tribute
I just dont understand why companies are coming out with this rubbish when it seems to me the majority of the public just dont care that much. Why not just offer free cancellation instead?
Re: RIP a tribute
I think it’s because they looked at it the wrong way - they put too much weight on the idea that forcing staff to work on that day would be the PR disaster, and not enough on the idea that closing would be a PR disasterLong slender neck wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 4:10 pmI just dont understand why companies are coming out with this rubbish when it seems to me the majority of the public just dont care that much. Everyone is terrified of not towing the line and being lambasted by gobshites like Piers Morgan and Gbeebies Dan Woodon.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 4:10 pmI just dont understand why companies are coming out with this rubbish when it seems to me the majority of the public just dont care that much. When I worked for them they didn’t even shut ours when our store manager had a heart attack and we wanted to attend his funeral.

Re: RIP a tribute
I did a poll on here and over 70% basically not that bothered. Only know of 1 or 2 people in real life who maybe care more than that.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 5:54 pmLong slender neck wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 4:10 pmI just dont understand why companies are coming out with this rubbish when it seems to me the majority of the public just dont care that much. Re: RIP a tribute
A poll of a handful of people on here doesn’t represent the entire nation . Look how many people are turning out at Westminster to pay their respects to the QueenLong slender neck wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 5:59 pmI did a poll on here and over 70% basically not that bothered. It will only be a small percentage of the populationRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 6:17 pmA poll of a handful of people on here doesn’t represent the entire nation . Re: RIP a tribute
Is the answer tens of thousands of people out of a nation of seventy million?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 6:17 pmA poll of a handful of people on here doesn’t represent the entire nation . Re: RIP a tribute
In Scotchjocklandshire those paying respects to Lizabet I of Hanover represented 0.1% of the population. Now if you extract the nosey tourists, the headcases, bampots and lickspittles who came up from Englandsville, and who will definately go to Westminceter as well, we could be be talking about a mere handful.TRUMP Plumbing wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 7:25 pmIs the answer tens of thousands of people out of a nation of seventy million?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 6:17 pmA poll of a handful of people on here doesn’t represent the entire nation . Re: RIP a tribute
400,000? Is that it? That's just 0.6% of the UK population.
The way the media's been banging on about it you'd have thought it was of paramount interest to the majority of people.
