Facebook fined 5 bill
About time. Is there anyone still who uses this discredited organisation?
Is it worth having your personal data harvested for the privilege of posting holiday snaps, family pics and uneaten meals that nobody gives a flying fugazi about?

I don’t use Facebook (the wife does to keep up with friends & family) or Instagram, but do use Whatsapp. It’s pretty hard to swerve any of the tech giants unless you live off grid these days.

I don't indulge in any social networking. In fact I'm thinking of becoming a recluse; anybody recommend it?

When you have Family spread around the world social media is a great way to keep in touch.
Raising ones head out of an Orient World once in a while is good for you.
Gets rid of the stress of 18 year olds being abused for leaving for an extra 10k a year , or senior staff at the club who have had mental health issues getting dogs abuse.
Dont stay out there to long though , the fluffy clouds of
effervescence will expose you to real life & not the sustained misery that is required to be a long term lower league melancholic die hard.

Great. I suggest they phone their loved ones then.
If they are desperate to share photos, what is so wrong with getting them developed at the local chemist and posting a few of the snaps that were in focus?

Re: Faceache fined 5 bill
I have been on Faceless twice. The first time an anti-cyclist workmate drove me off and the second time I seemed to upset some good workmates with some "messroom" banter which they seemed to take seriously....So I left recently.I explained to one of them at work that I had left and he asked me why. He's a top bloke and I wouldn't like to upset him over stupid things.Obviously Faceless doesn't work the same as "messroom" banter and even that's dodgy now.
He posted a picture of Hackney in the sunset or something and I replied (jokingly) whats good about Hackney. He got quite offended it seemed and I'm pretty sure he blocked me as he seemed to ignore me afterwards.I did like the stuff he did post though but others just posted pictures of some mind numbing boring nonsense.
Also got in touch with some workmates who had retired/left but sadly that's no longer possible.

Re: Facebook fined 5 bill
Social media was good a few years ago. People posted any old sh*t and nobody cared. Then the thought police moved in. The “friend” who tells you that you shouldn’t say that. Then I found myself changing to conform and also I was trying to project an image. Most people probably went though this process. One day I posted a picture of my nice car. I thought, what a Cnut and never been on since.

Re: Facebook fined 5 bill
Facebook shares rose on the news as it was recognised as only a "light slap on the wrist" - they'll be giggling over this at FB Towers....
