There is a load of ole B--stards on this site. Perhaps that's why I feel at home here. The charts prior to 1952 are not at all reliable. I was born a few months before the NHS was started ( pauses for applause for Aneurin Bevan ). Did you know that in 1953 there were sycophantic songs all about the Coronation in the charts eg:"In a Golden Coach (There's a Heart of Gold)" - Billy Cotton and His Band, Dickie Valentine.
