Huw Edwards just corrected himself again after mentioning a statement that's awaited.

You've got a lot to learn, one of them is to be respectful at the right timeStory of O wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 2:40 pm Why should everything stop? I have nothing against the Queen but I don’t know her enough to mourn

Your end will not affect me eitherThe Mindsweep wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 3:00 pm Had a brief listen to Huw & Nick on the beeb. I can honestly say, apart from acknowledging that it's sad when someone passes, her death will not affect me practically at all. Someone else just takes her place

I feel quite sad tonight . She's been our Queen from the very day I was born . She's been an ever present in my life . It's definitely the end of an era . It's now King Charles and Queen Camilla

It feels weird, for sure. I don’t think I have any shred of sadness. She led a very long life, full of privilege. Getting to 96 isn’t something to feel sad about.
Also think Charlie we surprise a few people.

Surely they won’t make Camilla a Queen?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 9:41 pm I feel quite sad tonight . She's been our Queen from the very day I was born . She's been an ever present in my life . It's definitely the end of an era . It's now King Charles and Queen Camilla

Re: The Queen watch
As a long time Republican, and anti monarchist, it feels strange tonight.
I wish her family well, they loved their mum, grandma, great grandma etc, and they will be sad, and they will miss her, as we all do. I miss my mum so much, and not a day goes by when I don't think of her. They all love the Queen the same.

Re: The Queen watch
We can agree or disagree about having the position of a monarchy but the woman herself was a fantastic Queen . It was the life she was born into and IMO, was faultless .My she rest in peace .ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 10:09 pm As a long time Republican, and anti monarchist, it feels strange tonight.
