Yup. I reckon she's been gone since about 11.00 this morning.

I was reading somewhere about a 9 day mourning period which means a Saturday funeral. FFS.
Funeral = Date of death + 10 days

Had a brief listen to Huw & Nick on the beeb. I can honestly say, apart from acknowledging that it's sad when someone passes, her death will not affect me practically at all. Someone else just takes her place

I don't know her. Got nothing against her but will not affect me. Hope they don't close everything down

Assuming she's already died, there will not be an announcement until all the family have arrived at Balmoral. So you probably have another couple of hours before national mourning mode is activated.

I've got the Beeb on in the background where I'm working. I swear I just heard Nicholas Witchell say that the Queen's corgis "know nothing of her status."

Heh, journalists making announcements ahead of official confirmation could be a fun sport.

Huw Edwards saying talk of transition may not be premature, so I’d like to place on record my appreciation for the work done by his majesty the king over the last 7 decades

Kind of pathetic really that some journalists want to be first to announce it.

Huw Edwards is pretty much outright saying that she’s dead. It’s genuinely impressive how well he’s communicating it without breaking protocol.

We're probably about an hour from the announcement. I'm popping to the shop - anyone want anything?
