PERFORMNCE v RESULT
I can honestly say that I think that's the worst I have ever seen us play and win. What would people prefer a really good performance without a win or a win but a poor performance. Normally a win makes it seem okay and I go home pleased, but yesterday we were so awful, I was left feeling like I'm not sure. I certainly won't enjoy the season ahead if we play that every week and get promoted (Mind you, if we play like that every week, we won't get promoted.)

Re: PERFORMNCE v RESULT
I've lost count of the times we've played really well and come away with nothing
Bobo66, what youre saying just doesnt make any sense
EG. Leeds 1 Orient 0. 24/11/09. We were superb but lost to a last minute goal.

Re: PERFORMNCE v RESULT
It wasn’t a great performance for sure but we’ve played much, much worse than that and grabbed the points. We were poor first half but deffo upped our game in the second.

Re: PERFORMNCE v RESULT
It’s a results based business at the end of the day.
I’ve lost count over the years of the times we have played reasonably well and lost to a late goal.
We’re a work in progress and will improve over the weeks, I’m happy to have the 9 points on the board.

I never said that we'd never lost unjustly. We all have our opinions, but I still think that that's the worst I've seen us play and win. My questiion, however, was what would people prefer - performance or result. Some would prefer the result. I understand that and would usually agree but would you really like a whole season like yesterday?

Re: PERFORMNCE v RESULT
We started really well the first 20 minutes. When we kept it on the floor and moved it around, we looked very good. We need to work on the cross field long passes, they were terrible. The heat played a huge part in us not being able to keep that intensity going.
There are a lot of positives from yesterday

Re: PERFORMNCE v RESULT
I thought we looked a cut above them footballing-wise. Problem was that we made some errors that could/should have cost us dearly. Not only that, we did tend to “showboat”. Almost as if we knew what the script was going to be. Vigouroux almost performing magic…
