Richie allegedly said today that the starting 11 against Dagenham would start against Grimsby , I'm not expecting much movement on signings now ☹

Grimsby to win 2-1. Anyway , who's fault is it that we're short on numbers yet again . We had the minimum amount of players to sign yet still couldn't do it .Our rivals don't seem to have the same trouble as we do . What's going wrong ?

Also, why are people saying our squad is weaker than last season?

Moncur > Kyp.

And we've managed to retain everyone that we wanted to, I'm in no rush for these loan signings, would much rather we take our time and get someone good in that just sign up another Nouble.

Injuries will clear up, we'll get some loan signings in and find our rhythm, league 2 is such a form league, you could lose your first 10 games and still finish as champions.
Moncur != Kyprianou they're different positions
If anything it's Moncur > Khan for the attacking midfielder slot

Kyprianou is -1 in CM with no replacement to be found
Bearing in mind our midfield is by far our weakest area it needed a total overhaul yet somehow we're likely to end up with Coleman starting

Last season we fell apart due to lack of squad depth and right now the squad is smaller than it was then so :~
Coleman isn't good enough . This is one Ling got wrong . Paying 80k for him ? I'd send him out on loan

Posted this evening on the Orient Outlook twitter page:-

A few quotes Richie Wellens said on @BBCLondonSport @DulcetDave.

‘Our first 11, 14-15, is pretty strong. Under that we need to strengthen’.

‘Everything on our side is ready to go, it’s upto the parent club to say yes’ - on a #9.

‘We’ll know a lot more Monday’ - on a CM. #LOFC

Who would have thought. incoming transfers being held up by the parent clubs looks like Monday could see a 9 and a CM come in.

If we're spending more than we first thought for the above two signings then maybe we can't afford to bring in another striker . If that's the case then give our youngster Sonny Fish his chance .

Still time to bring in new players but we're cutting it fine . If we could just bring in two more players it could make a big difference so I wouldn't write off our chances just yet .

I get that it’s not as easy as getting someone in overnight but even if we get someone at this point who knows if their fitness is up to expectations? And they’ll need a good few weeks to settle, get to know what Richie wants, gel with the players and the style. It’s why Richie wanted players in 3/4 weeks ago.

Wouldn't worry about the fitness as they've probably been on trial at a couple of other clubs this summer and been turned down

TBF Players coming in will have done a pre season at their clubs so don’t see that as an issue. Richie has obviously targeted a certain type of player who can play his high intensity pressing system , If we can get them in for Tuesday working on shape shouldn’t be an issue for the number 9 bit more so if the CM comes in.

From Richie’s interview with Dulcet Dave though as reported by the Outlook boys it’s clear the club has done the right things to get these players in but are willing to be patient until RW gets the players he wants. Dispels all the made up crap that RW isn’t being supported by the DOF and board. We have to hope that these players get the green light from their clubs and we can bolster the squad, we definitely are at least a couple short.

No comparison between now and 5 years ago. Currently we are two or three players short. When Ling became DOF we needed a whole squad.
