It was Hull City Working Mans' Club on their annual outing. Breakfast, beach, pub, game, pub, bed.

Wright off injured no one to replace him
Being as it was just a friendly match, wonder why one of the players who played in the first half not able to fill in for the injured Wright.
Nothing at stake and surely better practice for Hull to play against a full team of 11 players ?

From the twitter page Sid

Rules state players cannot come back on after being substituted and as 5 of the travelling Orient squad are unavailable tonight we play the last 9 minutes with 10 men 2-2

Hull could have given us a player.... Didn't Gateshead do that for us years ago?

From the teams given above is that right that Alabi played both halves?

Decent result. Well done

I know people say friendlies aren't important but if you win loads, its good for the confidence & if you lose loads its the opposite.

@Lucky7
Thanks for that information.
Strange that in a nothing at stake friendly practice match, so many half time substitutions allowed yet a rule that does not cover this situation to allow a player back on after a player gets injured like tonight and with no more players available to come off the bench who have not had a game so far, rather bizarre rules ! If you were actually playing in a friendly match like this, much sooner to play against a full 11 players than a team down a player because one got injured. So if two Os players had got injured then Hull would have played against 9 men because of this rule, that would not have been much of a workout for Hull City !!

According to the information given, both Alabi and Ogie played the full game.

Hull could have withdrawn a player if they were that bothered.

Bit worrying that we’re already picking up so many knocks and with Jobi and Wright both out, we’re already painfully short in CM.

If it’s a proper organised friendly then it falls under fa rules and therefore a substituted player is not allowed to enter the field of play again.

Over the two halves, they played a decent number of first time players, 8 or 9. And they had one trialist, Ryan Tafazolli formerly of Peterboro and highly rated. We were linked to him when he was at Mansfield a few years ago.

Our defence wasn't up to scratch and we weren't able to counter against their long ball game. However, with tighter marking in local play and when we get a new Manager we should be able to correct these nieve errors . 3/10. Could do better.

Reads like a good performance and both sides had chances. Brilliant hit by Gorman, although I can only see him getting in the team at the expense of Wright, seems to be quite a tall order.

Bit North Korea-ish to only upload our goals. Maybe there will be more highlights today.

Not necessarily as the lack of wingers suggests that Jobi will play out wide on the left with Brophy inverted on the other side. Josh, Craig, Dale and JMD battle it out for the three middle slots. Rotation will happen and all of the, will get a chance to stake a claim.

The only worry is a lack of a winger, and a centre midfielder who is “combat” ready.

We won’t play the 3-5-2 with Jobi out wide on the left.

Equally, JMD won’t be battling it out for the 3 midfield slots, he’s guaranteed to start behind the front 2.
