Even though it had already been reported on, his admittance today of this may be the most important thing that has happened today.

Amazing that he sacks Gove for disloyalty, but Pincher was actually allowed to resign for sexually assaulting people.

Johnson's delusional beliefs and total lack of self awareness on full display today.
How far will he go in fight to death? It wouldn't be beyond him to seek revenge and cause serious damage.
Will he need to be taken out in a straightjacket?

Getting Johnson to vacate the post is sadly not going to be enough to bring about saner politics from this government.
Just look at who has ambition for the job: Suella Braverman just declared her ambition to run for PM!!!

An Attorney General who consistently condoned and supported Johnson's law breaking.

Watch the note being passed to him as one of his henchpeople actually does understand what he clearly doesn't about the admission.

Looks like he's going. Probably held out for a peerage and several lucrative non-exec positions.

So, he will have 3 months still as PM while the election of his successor proceeds.
He can do a lot of damage in that time but I reckon he will be focussing now on writing up his own history as glorious and successful leader while maximising his use of the royal plane, seeking opportunities for state visits etc. to get treated as a mega celebrity. His ego always comes first. He will pester Zelenski daily ....

Think there's little chance they let him stay on until then. He's gone completely off the rails over the last 48 hours, they will want him gone and asap. He's got very few actual friends in the party.

Yep think of the damage he can do in those 12 weeks you think he's not culpable now. But if he stands down don't we get Raab in charge for 3 months?.

Breaking news: party that is very good at staying in power takes action two years ahead of a general election to get rid of their biggest liability and to draw a line under two years of crises and scandal. The left celebrates, for some reason.

This....

Tories are masters at this. They are always are in control of the narrative. Every major news outlet joins in and dances to their tune and now the absolute lie of him "getting the big calls right" is no longer questioned.

Looking forward to the Rory Stewart v Andy Burnham contest towards the end of the decade after the next Tory PM is booted out in 3 or 4 years time.

Reason is pretty obvious, we're watching a man who's never had to pay for any of his awfulness finally getting what is due to him. Can stress about whatever b*stard replaces him later, gonna enjoy the moment 100%. It's great.
