Re: What pay rise you getting this year?
Taxi fares have gone up a cool 30% in the last year and I've banged 10% onto consultancy fees. This is on top of hiring out my taxi when I'm not working which brings in another £150pw.
The only draw back I can see is that the taxi has actually been off the road for two weeks as my driver had an accident so I haven't been able to apply the fare hike. On the plus side I would have been off with Covid anyway but I will of course be claiming loss of earnings. Its win win.

It's only going to look like Katie Perry anyways so I'm going to leave it for now.

Whatever happened to the sunlit uplands promised thru Brexit?? Can not all be caused by the Russian/UK conflict. Shouldn't the West be trying to negotiate a truce??

Do you ever get the feeling you are walking sideways down a descending escalator?

3% , the amount my pension will always rise. So with inflation I’m already three years behind right now.
But at least I haven’t got a rather nasty neighbouring president showering me with bombs.
And, more happily, I’ve just posted my SC application to Fortress Brisbane.

I’ll be getting exactly the same as last year ( and probably next year as well ). Sweet F A. Still I’m lucky to have a job so I can contribute all my taxes eh?

Getting my taxi back this afternoon and looking forward to increasing my earnings from zero to shed loads during this rail strike. The hires to the city will be piling in. I may need to change my name to Glasgow Max and buy a wheelbarrow to take my money to the Credit Union.

Geezer, it was a painful psychological experience akin to mental torture just getting a card machine. Don't even go there with fake currency.
