Re: Ebou Adams
Well Justin was the manger when he signed, and he played him nearly every match, must have liked him a little bit.

Re: Ebou Adams
So over rated, got a great agent that can sell his so called midfielder excellence. Lower league player will be back in in division 2 in 18 months max . But he owes his agent a decent Christmas present anyway

Re: Ebou Adams
Adams has bossed L2 for a few seasons now. He’s too good for this level.
Championship might be bit of a stretch as he’s somewhat limited technically but at 26, he’s right to give it a try. Good luck to the lad.

Adams was an excellent January loan signing from Norwich.Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 10:28 am

Shame we did not manage to sign him at the end of his loan to us when he became a free agent.

You left out the best bit. The traitorous Morecombe manager was sacked by Bradford half way through the season. How I laughed.Anthem of Hope wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 10:56 amThe same pattern keeps emerging clubs get promoted from league 2 then the manager leaves and better players - hope when orient eventually go up this does not occur.
Morecambe manager did the same last year

Oh . Can we just focus on the sacking for now. Cheers.Anthem of Hope wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 11:29 amBut he went back to Morecambe and kept them up !!Max B Gold wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 11:27 amYou left out the best bit. Re: Ebou Adams
Ebou is a good player, and will make it in the Championship
A few on here, seem to dislike him, because he left us, but that wasnt his fault. We could have signed him, but Ling messed up, I believe.
Good luck to the lad

Re: Ebou Adams
Ling giving him a time ultimatum to sign did not seem to go down at all well, the lesson seemed to be learnt with Ruel who was given far more time than Adams in order to consider his options.

Re: Ebou Adams
Remember that time he came back, got incessantly booed by some sections (how DARE he not sign for the mighty family club Leyton Orient), and had Forest Green 2 or 3 up at half time.

Re: Ebou Adams
We had him on loan, he lived south of the river and Ebbsfleet's offer was probably as good as ours. If you lived south of the river and were offered two identical jobs, with the same or similar pay & conditions and one was where you didn't have to travel on the M25 and over/through the Dartford Bridge/Tunnel 6 days of the week, which one would you go for. IMO that's 99% of the reason we didn't sign him. Good luck to him in the Championship, it's a big step up at 26.

Re: Ebou Adams
Also at that time, Ebbsfleet were on the up and had finished a lot higher up in the NL than the Os ( I think they may have even made the playoffs that season ? ) Financial problems at Ebbsfleet surfaced the following season, so mainly due to the financial problems at the club, he went to Forrest Green for a nominal fee. It seems like Adams was a free agent at the end of this season, so could well be that Cardiff have got this very good midfield player for no transfer fee to be paid.EliotNes wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 1:44 pm We had him on loan, he lived south of the river and Ebbsfleet's offer was probably as good as ours.
