Re: Labour Watch
I’ve always been left, left of centre. Voted Labour more than Tory. But over the last 10 years Labour have lost their way. Had hopes that Starmer may address the issue. Sadly I’m struggling to remain confident.Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 1:24 pmI’m just glad we’ve finally had it confirmed that people of a left wing persuasion are not welcome, the Labour party is for right wingers only.Dohnut wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 12:47 pmI’m sure somewhere I said Momemtum!Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 10:27 pm Oh. It's the genuine lefties, like you and me, that are the real victims in all this, Prez.

But I’m not. Look at my comments about Boris, go back a long time. Despise the guy.Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 4:05 pm
The thing is, he genuinely does not think he’s a rabid right winger.
I’m very much from working class stock. But being left of centre I have been alienated by a whole series of absolute rubbish leaders Labour put forward. Take the last election. Boris vs Corbyn. I actually voted for Boris, Corbs was that bad. Same with May. And the party chose the wrong Milliband brother. Piss ups and Breweries. Sadly Starmer is currently looking like a huge hypocrite. People are laughing at him and the “honest mistakes” from Labour. Treating us like we are stupid.
When Labour realise they need financed policies that are popular with the electorate majority and have a leader they believe can deliver, they are reliant, not on them doing well but the Tories screwing up.
This currently is their main and only line of attack. Sad.

Least worst of the two. Sad choice to have. But that was the choice. Corbyn was just poor, poor, poor. Thankfully someone is providing some much needed perspective.
Jerry Corbyn did better in the same seats in 2018.

Labour's communications team are certainly putting in a shift to try and put any positive spin on the results.
