Hector has been imperious, Obeiro looks decent, you wouldn’t believe it’s his first pro game, but Smyth has just been unplayable.
Imperious? When?

I have decided after trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, Hector is just not very good. One or two ok games this season but mostly too slow/slow on the ball, cant tackle, can’t shoot for toffee and always an error in him.

It be fair to highway man, powering through the middle of crawleys defence like a prime Thierry Henry only to stub his toe and send the ball 30 foot wide of the goal does sum him up. The penalty was also shocking. Decent enough goal and I am more of a fan of his now as his workrate is astonishing but oh boy, he is not a natural finisher.

Remind everyone of how many goals he’s scored?

If he was a natural finisher, with his other attributes - his pace, power, work ethic, crossing and intelligent running down the channels - he wouldn’t be playing Division 4 football for us.

Ive said it before and I’ll say it again - he’s very much in the Macca mould.

Who has ever said, 'oh boy, he is not a 'natural' finisher?' As if everyone was saying he is. He doesn't get into our team on a regular basis solely on his work rate alone...So maybe there's something more about his game that you're missing ? (apart from the fact that he's scored about 15goals,that is)

Yes, my thoughts exactly . I'm really pleased with that win because I think out of our last nine games against them we had only beaten them once .

Needless to say he won't be our penalty taker going forward
My choice of penalty taker would be Smyth.

Can we just tw*t the ball from the penalty spot instead of side footing it
