Just wait until the new energy prices surge in after April.....Dunners wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 12:25 pm Inflation recorded at 6.2% for February (higher than 5.9% predicted by economists).
The annual rate of inflation in all goods was 8.3%, up from 7.2%. The ONS states that this has never been higher since the data series began in January 1989.
I expect some tinkering around the edges in the Spring statement but, f*ck me, we're in for a rough few years.

A lot of people stand up for the poor but don’t make a song and dance about it. Monroe claims poverty but managed to adorn herself in tattoos? George M's last post was 9th March. Dexter registered on the 8th. Coincidence I'm sure.
If he / she starts going on about how sh*t the moderating is over here, it's Esteban / Huxley. If it gets really nasty, it's Mrs FTC.

Or if they were gifted her as presents ?
Or maybe she saved a little bit harder ?
Why are you against people having basic food costs &
The ability to do something they choose to ?
Maybe we should all buy 4p porridge ?

Re: Inflation
CPI inflation 7% in March, the highest since 1992 and expected to increase further for April.
RPI inflation hit 9.3%
Producer Price Index, which can be an indicator of the direction of travel for CPI, hit 19.2% in March.
Also, just seen that student loan interest rates are expected to rise from 4.5% to 12% for high earners and from 1.5% to 9% for low earners from September. An average graduate with £50k debt will incur £2,200 to £3000 in interest over 6 months.
Interesting seeing some contrast from elsewhere:
United States - 8.5%
Euro Area - 7.5%
Germany - 7.3%
France - 4.1%
