How anyone held parties in lockdown beggars belief and if he did without doubt mislead then he should go. Different times these days it seems, no morals or common sense. Look at that lady MP who got on a train to go back to Scotland and Handcock.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 3:09 pmPartygate , Boring or not if he has mislead the house he has to go . Well the current crop really are scraping the bottom of the barrel. They clearly believe they have no challengers so can't even be bothered to try and hide how they're screwing us over in order to feather their nests. Scum indeed.

The shadow work and pensions secretary, Jonathan Ashworth, also waded in, saying: “I don’t think it’s fair or right at all, and I’ll tell you why. I just think as a general rule, a politician’s partner – any politician, any party – should be off limits.

Exactly.
If Rishi Sunaks billionaire wife wants to do business with Russia and doesn't want to pay tax in the UK and wants to claim taxpayers money under the Furlough Scheme, what business is it of ours?

It is being reported that Sunak’s wife claimed up to £100,000 of UK taxpayers’ money in one month alone during The Furlough. Legal, yes. But ethical?

And if she pays tax in India as the assumption we are expected to make what is all that shenanigans about holding her assets in the tax haven of Mauritius? She is not a politician. You cannot accuse people of tax evasion without evidence. Starmer likes to keep his wife private, like Sunak does. If you think she is avoiding Tax report it through the proper channels.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 11:39 amAnd if she pays tax in India as the assumption we are expected to make what is all that shenanigans about holding her assets in the tax haven of Mauritius? The Furlough scheme was there to aid companies ensure they could survive and keep their workforce. I am sure Leyton Orient benefitted from the scheme. It is not illegal to use the scheme. There are many high profile people who did so.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 3:49 pm It is being reported that Sunak’s wife claimed up to £100,000 of UK taxpayers’ money in one month alone during The Furlough. What is dodgy about them, she has legally opted to declare her tax base in India and pays taxes there as well as here. Her firms employ thousands of people, her father worked hard to get where he has. Don’t knock hard work.Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 12:04 pmWhat has the fact she is not a politician got to do with her dodgy tax affairs?Dextercoindexter wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 11:51 amShe is not a politician. This government and Sunak would have a leg to stand on if it didn't regular comment on private individuals financial and ethical arrangements when it suits their purposes.

I know this is just a wum alias but some people will genuinely be thinking like this. It’s staggering.

Re: Tory Watch
She's not being 'attacked' for being married to a tory.
She's being 'attacked' for living in this country full time, benefiting from the infrastructure of this country - schools, hospitals, police, her free council house - yet exploiting a loop hole so she doesn't pay tax here on the millions upon millions of pounds she receives each year.

She probably does not use the NHS or state schooling so stop kidding and agitating yourself.
