Supporters Liaison Officer
Are they helpful? Is our SLO visible on match days?

Re: Supporters Liaison Officer
I'd suggest that if you don't know whether Keren is visible on match days, you can't be going to many matches yourself. She is always front and centre in the SC before home matches and goes to pretty much every away match, as far as I know.
What are you expecting the SLO to be doing exactly that Keren is not doing?

Re: Supporters Liaison Officer
Was a question not a dig. I thought they would be say outside the main entrance wearing a bib etc so fans can approach. Can you be in the Supporters Club & be SLO as you are visible only to the converted. For example new fans would not go in LOSC on their first visit

Re: Supporters Liaison Officer
Why not go and meet Keren and volunteer your services to wear a bib or sandwich board on match days and non match days , not only outside the supporters club, but up and down Leyton high street , great idea

Fair enough. Your original post definitely seemed to be a dig though, which I guess is why you edited it.Lifelongfan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 5:19 pm Was a question not a dig. However, I thought the role of the SLO was to be a link between the (existing) supporters and the board - not to be some sort of recruitment hub for new supporters. I may be wrong though. How does the role work at other clubs? Personally, if I was a new supporter looking to find out about the club, the very first place I would go would be the supporters club. Mind you, that may just be because I drink too much

I really think you were hoping for more , Questioning her ability to do a job which you highlited as " a paid role " came over very snide ! Maybe youd had a few then made an edit when you woke up ?

Re: Supporters Liaison Officer
I would have thought that chap who sells the Fanzine Mag would have made a good Supporters Liaison Officer.

Re: Supporters Liaison Officer
I rarely drink so your assumption is wrong. I edited the post as I did not want it to be seen as a dig. At some away matches their SLOS seem to be visible outside. Maybe at Orient it is more a bridge between fans & the Board. I doubt if any new fans would want to get past a load of middle aged fans drinking beer to find her.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 6:40 pmwhy wouldnt they ?Lifelongfan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 5:19 pm Was a question not a dig. Re: Supporters Liaison Officer
Have a memory of getting off the supporters coach at Donny years ago and their SLO greeted us with a smile, pointed us at the gate we had to use, told us where'd he'd be if anyone had questions, etc..top quality. think thats rare though, dont think I've seen any others at the 40 odd grounds I've been to.Lifelongfan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 7:26 pmI rarely drink so your assumption is wrong. But the point is, they wouldn't have to. Keren is always on the door.Lifelongfan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 7:26 pmI rarely drink so your assumption is wrong.
