Cheese

Post by Dextercoindexter »

I like cheese but my GP said it is full of cholesterol yet today I read it is good for your general skeleton frame and bones. This conflicting information is obviously frustrating and confusing. I read the data on the packets and have concluded that cottage cheese and Edam is healthier but my friend said these are full of sugar and I find these two products weak in flavour. Also Sugar gives one diabetes so am in limbo and am forced to slice cheese paper thin. Does anyone suggest a cheese that is a compromise please?

The bit that’s good for your skeleton is the high levels of calcium, which you can get from other products that have less fat

Cottage cheese is quite nice if you mix in a little bit of jam and spread on toast. Although the jam won’t do much good for the sugar levels either.

Much more relevant and up to date information can be found at www.nutritionfacts.org.

These are 5 minute videos all based on research. You can have the daily dozen app and monitor what you eat daily, which is simple.

5 a day was out of date years ago, more relevant is 30 different non processed foods per week. It also recommends carbohydrates, which are the cause of many of our problems. Natuarl fats though are good for us.
