Are you having a laugh, you wouldn't offer James a contract. I assume you are hoping we can sign Alexander-Arnold. I appreciate we have a record of signing invalids, but personally I would sign James even if he was still recovering. My biggest fear if that if Wellens doesn't see him get game time this season, he may not be a priority.

I wouldn't offer Alexander-Arnold a contract, even if he were available on a free and wanted £1 per week wages

Wellens has tried to sign him before so he knows he is a good player

Yes, I was about to post the same thing. Richie said he tried to sign him before in his latest interview so he knows what a good player he is . Providing we can stay clear of relegation I’m quite hopeful we can keep him . He proved to be our best Summer signing last year and would be an excellent signing if we can persuade him to stay
