Re: stevenage town
Really?
KJ appointed Orient Manager May 21st 2021 & sacked 22 February 2022
That is just over 9 months at Orient
So similar time period

Re: stevenage town
Depends on your perspective really. 9 months is 3 times as much as 3 months, but in terms of stamping your effect on the team and building up your squad neither of them are much time at all.spen666 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 6:08 amReally?

I feel that there must be more to managers getting fired than just results. I suspect a lot them are missing general people management skills rather than specific football coaching skills.

Re: stevenage town
3 months and 9 months are not the same. Shouldn’t you be busy writing the Ched Evans fan club newsletter?spen666 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 6:08 amReally?

If Scunny are already down, then Rochdale's plight may yet again hand a life-line to Stevenage.

I’d rather our board takes their time (within reason) and gets it right which I hope and think that they have with Richie rather than getting one of the usual suspect dinosaurs off the managerial roundabout with a knee jerk reaction.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 9:49 pm Yet another club that fires and hires within a matter of hours . Re: stevenage town
Evans will fit in well there. Deadful club managed by a convicted criminal. It would be a great shame if they avoided relegation again at Rochdale's expense.

Re: stevenage town
I’m sure Tisdale will get another job fairly soon………it really is a managerial merry go round for some of these managers.
Years ago I remember it was Peter Reid who was always popping up somewhere or other…….think it was when he was kicked out by Sunderland or Portsmouth and he walked away with a pay off of £800k …….small change for some nowadays but many of us could comfortably retire on that level of pay off.

So far we've only got it right once out of six . Hopefully it's now twice out of seven.Paddy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 11:58 amI’d rather our board takes their time (within reason) and gets it right which I hope and think that they have with Richie rather than getting one of the usual suspect dinosaurs off the managerial roundabout with a knee jerk reaction.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 9:49 pm Yet another club that fires and hires within a matter of hours . Re: stevenage town
That’s a different discussion. I addressed your complaint about the time it took to hire our new manager. How often we are successful in our manager choices is a completely different matter. Apples and pears my friend.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 7:04 pmSo far we've only got it right once out of six . Careful, we’re not safe yet from relegation either

Re: stevenage town
Quite simply, Stevenage was the wrong job for Tisdale. I think he would be best suited to a team like Mansfield or Lincoln.Cheshunto wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 4:47 pm I’m sure Tisdale will get another job fairly soon………it really is a managerial merry go round for some of these managers.

Re: stevenage town
All that means is that they had already decided to sack Tisdale before his final game in charge and didn't have the balls to tell him so. Evans was clearly lined up before they had pulled the trigger. Fine if that's the way they like to operate but I prefer our approach of at least giving the manager the chance to turn things around before firing him.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 9:49 pm Yet another club that fires and hires within a matter of hours .
