Had a spell as an agent and poached a load of kids away from the club, if memory serves.

Re: Who made the decision to appoint Paul Terry?
This is an absolutely disgraceful appointment
So all the talk about lengthy interviews, due diligence, family club, candidates meeting with Travis, Teague, Ling , Porter, and very thorough and in-depth chat to ensure we get the right Candidate is really all spin, speil. and bollocks
How many times can they get it wrong, Davis, Fletcher, Embleton, Jacket, Reilly, the aggressive January window, the renaming of the legend Tommy Johnston stand with pawn brokers, and now this undesirable person is the final nail in the coffin
There is history between Justin and this tosser and it aint good, perhaps this was not mentioned at one of the many interviews ?
You cant fool all the people all the time !

I don't know her, so I don't know how reputable she is. I don't see why she wouldn't have told the truth, maybe to protect Terry's marriage. But even if they did have an affair, they happen all the time. What's the stat, infidelity occurs in 15% of people in relationships, something like that. It's obviously not a nice thing to do, but I don't think it is deserving of pitch forks.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 8:24 pmYeah right, she would say that wouldn't she .If you believe that you easily have the wool pulled over your eyes in my opinion.

It’s hard to accept as I was so happy about Wellens but it just does not sit right with me. Every time Ill see this guy celebrate with us I’ll think of that lad who was probably depressed and down as it was and what he needed was a mate to put an arm around him. Not shag his bird and send him over the edge. I might be dramatic here but it’s the kind of person I am I guess.

Re: Who made the decision to appoint Paul Terry?
It was a sh*tty thing to do, but it's just not on to make Terry responsible for someone's decision to take their own life. That decision was Dale Roberts', and his alone. And nobody can truly know everything that was going on inside his head at the time.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 8:46 pm ]https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... other.htmlLong slender neck wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 8:41 pmRonnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 8:17 pm I’ve never caused anyone to commit suicide, for starters.

Re: Who made the decision to appoint Paul Terry?
It is kind of funny. The board finally get fans back on side after a fortnight of faffing about getting a new manager and then within 24 hours eradicate basically all good will by employing a well known t*sspot.
It’s great script writing you have to give them that.

Re: The Terry boycott
Just emailed Mark Devlin
Good evening
Both Danny Macklin & Nigel Travis contacted me a few years ago when I was unhappy about the shirt sponsorship the club had secured with Dream Team. A number of supporters, like myself, felt that The Sun should not be associated with Orient due to their history, especially surrounding Hillsborough. Nigel called me personally and although I understood the commercial decision, he recognised the issues that the association would cause. He advised that The Sun name would not feature at all. I agreed to continue my support.
However, the announcement today of Paul Terry being given employment by the club is I feel being the pale. I understand these are desperate times, but I cannot support the club if it feels that Paul Terry is a suitable ambassador for the club. His history is clear for all to see.
Shame on you all. Even though I have supported Orient since 1974 and have been, including this season, a season ticket holder for most years since, I will be withdrawing my support and will gain no pleasure if Orient survive the drop. The way I feel now, I even hope its the National League for next season

Re: Who made the decision to appoint Paul Terry?
I assume it was Wellens decision and I get that it’s not a great move to piss off your new manager before they’ve even started by blocking this.
But at the same thing surely this sort of stuff should have been ironed out in the process and the PR disaster considered.

Re: The Terry boycott
Isn't this all a big overreaction? The guy may have been a complete bumhole, but maybe he's changed? And it's hardly like he's as bad as proper baddies, like Hitler, Putin and Corbyn.
