Nice work from the board
I’ve been as vocal as anyone about the owners recently, but I have to hold my hands up and say that they have delivered by getting Wellens on board.
Step 1 is safety this season which I think we’ve got a serious chance if achieving now.
Step 2 is pushing on for playoffs next season. A key factor in this will be the players we bring in. Hopefully the new manager has 100% of the say on who comes and goes so that he gets the squad which meets his playing needs.
Feeling good about this appointment. A relatively young manager with relevant experience. Yes he’s had some bumps in the road (eg Salford) but the best of us learn from our facilities to make us better.
Looking forward to securing some wins now.

Surely that's what KJ would have said.

Re: Nice work from the board
It’ll soon become apparent what’s going on midway through September.
If it is still Ling running the show then we’ll be handing out 2 year contracts to injured players and signing duds in the summer will Wellens getting eventually getting the boot.

He probably means in a half witted way. I can't be more precise than that.

Re: Nice work from the board
I’m going to reach out an olive branch and un-foe you here because I’m interested in your opinion.
I’m one of the half-wits who wanted KJ out and then was critical of how long it took the board to get a replacement in.
I’m actually pretty pleased with the appointment of Wellens. I’d like to know why he doesn’t tick your boxes. For context here are my main reasons for why I’m pleased with the appointment:
1. He has had success at this level before with Swindon. He also won the LDV Vans trophy (or what ever it’s called these days) with Salford
2. I distinctly remember his Swindon side being a very impressive, high intensity, high pressing side when they played us and beat us thoroughly. I’d be most satisfied if he can get Orient playing that way
3. He’s still relatively young for a manager so has potential to grow/learn and build on his existing experience
4. He’s a complete outsider and not connected at all to the Justin era.

2 we were a high pressing high intensity side untill james got injured
3 so did ross jobi matt harold & any number of others
4 What has JE got to do with him being an outsider ?
Half wit comment point no 4 .
T&T & Ling i might allow it but bringing JE in is just ridiculous .

1. So? You can only win what’s put in front of you
2. Exactly. And that’s when we played our best. Not entirely sure how “Wellens plays the style of football we played when we were performing at our best” is a negative
3. And between them had zero managerial experience, so not really the same is it.
4. If you can’t understand how not being part of the clique from the JE era is a positive then it is you who is the halfwit you tiresome bell end.
I gave you a chance and back on foe you go. You remind me of that “special” kid every class at school had. You know the one who was a bit “different” to everyone else. Always acting up to get attention and the teachers let it slide more than most because it was less hassle than dealing with the tantrum which would occur when punished.
Don’t bother replying, I won’t see it.

Seriously , you are going to bottle out of showing your knowledge of football by using that kind of point ?
2 So If we played our best football then it
Was due to having players capable of balancing that style , james injured clay injured lots of others injured to .
3 .no mamgerial experience so not the same .
KJ was plenty of experience .
Yes but he is old
So was russell slade
4 . The only people left from JE are Clay
MH , T & T the office staff & ML .

Re: Nice work from the board
It was clear that KJ had to go; be interesting to discover his next step.
I am sure we shall give the new incumbent our support. He has not got too much time to "bed down" given the league position and some tough games coming up, though.
