My guess is that they were hoping he’d pick up a win or two but now are having to rely on the “nobody wants to come here” story to justify their decision.

He'll be saying something like " I couldn't sign the players I wanted". For example was Coleman Kenny's signing or Martin Ling's. Kenny was supposed to be the fcuking manager so it's his choice who we sign. Russell built a good squad in 2014 and he didn't need the help of any transfer committee to build it. All we've done is flush money down the drain and now look where we are .
