Re: Does Ling care
I think he will care, of course he will, but partly because of his own reputation.

Re: Does Ling care
In his own words he feels no pressure, nice cushy number with zero accountability. Just pin the the blame on everyone else and get his bosses to deal with the payoffs.

Re: Does Ling care
If he has no accountability why is it a position? Even a receptionist has accountability for things. It really seems like he’s has no pressure or accountability. The sooner that lump is out of the club the better.
We all sit there and listen to his tripe, but the owners buy it?! Two men who’ve been at the top of the business world?
He must have photos of Travis.
We could have done with a new manager bounce against three sides in and around us. Instead we dither, keep and old mate in charge, and end up with 1 point.
Rant over, maybe…

Re: Does Ling care
Travis and Teague's ongoing support for Ling is strange given his performance over the last couple of years. Most of our problems link back directly or indirectly to Ling. When he goes he cannot have any complaints, given our manager recruitment and player signings

Re: Does Ling care
Not much surprises me these days but that he says he feels no pressure, I found that stunning.
OK, I get his issues with mental health and his need to keep things under control. But he seems to want it both ways, have a high pressure job without the responsibility and therefore pressures that go with it. A weird situation.
If he cannot cope with pressure then don’t do the job. But if you take the money, the pressure comes with it. I wonder if everyone else tiptoes around him so as not to upset him?

According to the Twitter thread someone gave a cut throat sign to Danny mack, which is mental and unacceptable if true.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 8:49 pmWere the Os fans giving it to them in the first place?

Re: Does Ling care
Title should be renamed 'do our owners care'.
Has anyone stopped to think that there might of been a realisation that it might be more cost-effective to play in the National League, where we would be a bigger fish in a small pond.

I don’t think so, massive drop in income from Season Ticket sales, on the day match entry , streaming and merchandise.
I certainly wouldn’t attend a match or stream if we get relegated.

I haven't stopped to think. Playing again in that league doesn't bear thinking about.

Re: Does Ling care
Of course they do.
Do you think they’ll be able to get another tranche of yank ‘investors’ to give them the next £5m to cover our losses when we’re non league?

Re: Does Ling care
The only thing he'll care about is his academy gravy train being shut down as there's no funding for it at NL level

Hi Martin. How’s the manager hunt going? Getting through those Starbucks vouchers?

Will he be trousering 120k if we go down? There'll have to be economies and undoubtedly the squad will have get out clauses.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 4:45 pm No... He'll still be trousering £120,000 a year.
That's what he cares about IMO
