Re: Neil Lennon
He's been offered the job but stalling over pay from what I've heard.
Same reason that Woodgate turned it down.

Re: Neil Lennon
I have a friend who's in the know & he's normally right.
Some how he knew Travis was taking over our club a couple of weeks before it actually came out?
He also said Darren Fergussen was interviewed but turned it down.

Re: Neil Lennon
Not sure how I’d feel if it’s true. Aside from his first spell at Celtic he’s not done particularly well and controversy seems to follow him around.

I suppose giving the job to Matt Harrold is the better option, is it?Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 9:13 pm Not sure how I’d feel if it’s true. Aside from his first spell at Celtic he’s not done particularly well and controversy seems to follow him around.

He would be a disaster. Pumped out of Hibs, failed at Bolton, ruined Celtic. Has a tremendous thirst.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 9:13 pm Not sure how I’d feel if it’s true. Aside from his first spell at Celtic he’s not done particularly well and controversy seems to follow him around.

Don't actually believe it - from Celtic to the O's - just as I don't believe Woodgate would be interested then turn his nose up at the offer. Anyone applying knows what the going rate in league 2 is, even if they think their worth is championship level.

Someone who plays some decent football, someone who is good with people, someone with ambition and a vision for where he wants to take the football club.Chocolate_brownie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 9:54 pmOk. Matt Harrold. He got a point against mighty Colchester and even got this team of duds to score two goals.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 9:59 pmSomeone who plays some decent football, someone who is good with people, someone with ambition and a vision for where he wants to take the football club.Chocolate_brownie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 9:54 pmOk. Re: Neil Lennon
The Board obviously feel very embarrassed with what’s happened this season and intend to double down with an even bigger “statement” appointment.
If they can fling enough money at someone that one of them bites, it has all the makings for an even more farcical relegation than last time
(PS Woodgate was a non-starter)

Re: Neil Lennon
I don’t think he’d be a good appointment because what does he know about lower league football ? We need somebody with League 1 and 2 experience
