Seem to remember when people brought this up before and people said they'd stopped their subs over it the response was "Oh you're not a member so your opinion is irrelevant"

I've never said anything of the sort (and it is usually me posting in response to LOFT stuff on this board and its predecessors). Any time someone has said "I'm leaving LOFT because of [insert reason]'" or similar, I've always expressed that I'm sorry to hear that, and pointed out that we're a fans' group with a board elected by the members so any wish for LOFT to do something different comes ultimately from the members and who they vote for as their board. And that what the board does is by majority decision, such as today's expression of support.

I have absolutely never said that anyone's opinion is irrelevant, quite the opposite in fact.

'Exonerated' feels like a stretch. No action taken due to insufficient evidence I believe is what has happened, which yeah is quite good but you have to wonder why he was arrested and why the accusation was made in the first place.

OK, so R***r has been cleared of using racist language. However, he's still a complete liability to the club, and this incident wouldn't even have happened if his behaviour wasn't so ridiculous. He has got the support of LOFT though.

I don't agree with LOFT's stance as I said earlier. It got me thinking - what does LOFT actually do? Can anyone name anything they've seen that LOFT has done in the last year or so? I know they were a large part of the fight to avoid administration but since then? Maybe they're achieving miracles, but given their own mandate is to improve communications between the club and fans I'm at a loss to know what they do.

I have family who have been victims of crime and received the 'no further action due to insufficient evidence' line from the cops, when it would have been fairly easy to track down the bad guys
The incident still happened, the police just don't have the manpower or will to properly investigate anything but the most serious crimes now.

His latest statement says he's going to be taking legal action against the player and (or) CUFC.

I'm no legal expert but I'm not sure how he'll prove the allegation was either knowingly false or malicious. If only we had a legal expert around these parts to provide the correct advice in these matters.

However, his online persona / fanzine content and match day behaviour is at best questionable. As I say, I'm one person but I suspect there's more like me who decided LOFT wasn't for them based partly on his involvement.
